GOP Will Be Forced To Change The “Ron Paul Rule”

http://www.libertynewsnow.com/gop-will-forced-change-ron-paul-rule/article3600
As a sign of how corrupt the political process is within political parties, the Republican Party will be forced to drop what is known as “Rule 40” if they want to stop Donald Trump from sweeping the nomination process.

Rule 40 came into play to stop the influence of Ron Paul delegates within the national convention.

The rule states that nominees must have won the majority of delegates in at least eight states to become eligible for a vote in the nomination contest.

This year, neither Ted Cruz nor Marco Rubio are likely to be able to break the eight state threshold which would make Donald Trump the automatic winner just as they’ve done with John McCain and Mitt Romney in the past.

The Establishment of the GOP won’t allow that.

LOL. Talk about blowback.

Then again, in 2012 they changed that rule on the fly at the convention. It seems to me they could just do that again this time around, no?

Yes they could. But by doing so, they would lose all remaining credibility.

The credibility they still have in the minds of the Fox News audience, a large percentage of whom will presumably be Trump supporters.

Not too sure. Trump has been saying all along that the RNC isn't treating him fairly. So I don't think his supporters have a lot of faith in the RNC. If they even know what the RNC is though.

I think Rubio supporters may be the only ones who consider the RNC to be a credible organization but that logically follows because the RNC basically backs Rubio.

The RNC should prefer to keep it that way, rather than being outed as a corrupt organization that blatantly undermines the democratic process. It would be the biggest American political scandal since Watergate (notwithstanding similar shenanigans in 2012 that got no MSM attention).

Good luck to the RNC quietly pulling that off with Trump and it going unnoticed and unreported...

A lot of people who did not like Ron Paul on the NCGOP Executive Committee cared. I was able to leverage the Grassroots TEA people into pretty significant support over this.

The democrat party is having their own with the Super delegate issue coming to light. If any time in history for alternative parties gaining real traction this is it.
