"Republican Rep. Ron Paul, meanwhile, was in Seattle for three presidential campaign events on Thursday and scheduled appearances in Spokane on Friday.

Organizers said he could do surprisingly well in Washington.

"He has a tremendous amount of support around the state and we have people working in every county," said state coordinator Maureen Moore of Everett.

"It really is about personal freedom, and (ending) the war is a big issue in Washington," she said. "It really is support across the board for Ron Paul."

Paul and Romney have paid staff in Washington and others have relied on volunteer organizers, said state GOP Chairman Luke Esser, who is staying neutral in the race.

John McCain and Mitt Romney are viewed as top competitors here after Rudy Giuliani's departure from the race. But Moore said Paul is well-positioned to stay in the race and try to collect delegates wherever he can find them."

Washington has a history of picking anti-establishment candidates, i also think we are going to do really well there...i'd go so far as to say its a state we can win...

How you doing in terms of number of Precinct Leaders? And how active and dedicated are they?

I live in Washington. Hopefully i'll make it to Spokane tomorrow.

This is great all. Lived in Bellingham and Seattle for years before moving to TX. This is one state that we could do very well in.

picked up by the AP... nice.. that means it'll be in other small town papers too. Good stuff.

We had a blast with Dr. Paul today ! I was at Campaign HQ and had a privilege of shaking his hand, having picture taken and talking to Mrs. Paul. Unforgetable experience!:)

Now all of us need to go to caucuses and get elected as delegates to county and state convention. Caucuses are on February 9th at 1:00 PM.
Check your county GOP website for location of your caucus. Bring your voter registration card and nominate yourself for a delegate. It's easier than you think, because people supporting other candidates rather stay at home and watch soap operas....

And don't forget 51st Anniversary Money Bomb !!!

Bladestunner you tricked me. I thought King Olaf of Sweden supported RP for a minute! That was one exciting minute.

Anyway I forgive you because your pics are wonderfullll!!!
