I wanted to write to personally thank you for your interview of Dr. Ron Paul last night. It was refreshing to listen to a full hour of thought-provoking questions with proper time given for measured and rational responses. In addition, I'm thoroughly impressed with your ability to "dare" a guest to prove their own points. You did a wonderful job of refraining from going to the extremes of deriding or pandering to Dr. Paul, something I have not yet seen. It seems that Paul supporters want to agree with him everywhere while detractors - Wolf Blitzer comes to mind - seem to have their mind made up already. Kudos for keeping an open mind and reflecting the thoughts and questions any well-informed voter should have in your interview.
You can count a new radio listener among your ranks and I fully plan to go out and pick up your book for a few relatives for Christmas. Thanks for plugging it so doggedly, I might have missed that you had a new book out otherwise!!!
On a side note, I want to say that 99.999% of Dr. Paul's many supporters are diametrically opposed to any threat of violence (or for that matter, any type of non-academic response) against those who disagree with the campaign's ideas. We would sooner have the "crazies" vote for someone else rather than taint the overwhelmingly positive message that we believe this campaign can bring to the whole of America, and I hope your belief and views of the campaign are not adversely affected by the fringe riffraff that have decided that ours is the campaign in which to spew their hatred.
