Going Paleo...

I decided to start it around 3 months ago ( lost 15 kg,exercised as well) but have been cheating with potatoes and rice( as stuffing not a meal ) mostly because of family lunches, dairy products and honey I don't consider a cheat. At first it was really hard because I missed how easy it was to put something on a bread and eat it + I loved baked foods and sugar they were like 80% of my meals.

Today a typical week day meal is :

breakfast:

Turkish coffee ( and 2-3 more throughout the day )
fruit

lunch :

tuna/scrambled eggs with white cheese/sausages
cabbage, green salad or some sliced tomatoes

dinner :

tomatoes,cucumber,onion,white cheese salad

snacks:

baked pumpkin seeds with salt or raw

sweets:

75% cocoa chocolate and honey

I'd rather have 90% grass-fed (they only feed other crap when their supplies on hay are low, during some winter months [and not always]) than the typical city-slicker 100% corn-fed crap I am stuck with. And it's (believe it or not) only .50c more expensive to me thanks to my bulk card...

I have a lot of issues with the article, though. She goes on to state to buy Organic Valley, when they also feed their cows supplemental grains, and one of the others she links uses "natural flavors." Erm...

Also in the comments she makes it known it's the GMO, not the corn/soy allergy, that made her draw the line (and her daughter with a "sensitivity" doesn't have any reactions).

Checking in...

Had a few bumps in the road (Birthday, Valentines day) so I 'cheated' a little ;) It's rough when my wife and her mom are such darn fine cooks... especially baked goods.

I'm back in the saddle, though. It's amazing to actually feel my body's response to the change. I really try to pay attention to the way certain foods make me feel and every time I do a paleo cycle, I feel like hercules. I love it.
When the womenfolk are cooking, sneak 1-2 scoops (or more, depending on the batch) of whey protein into the mix. ;)
