Please spread this far and wide! Very cool to see them giving a little love back to supporters!

"One winner will receive the following prize package: two tickets to the Republican Presidential Primary Debate in Boulder, Colorado, on October 28, 2015; two roundtrip coach class airline tickets to Denver, Colorado from anywhere in the Continental U.S.; and one night’s hotel stay."

I threw my name and $5 in the hat. Please no one else, I want to win this :p I'm kidding, I hope the campaign raises a lot with this contest.

Hmmm... The campaign's lawyers may want to take a look at this before they get into legal trouble.

They have the disclaimer at the bottom that no purchase or contribution is necessary, but above, they say you have to donate $5 or more. Stupid regulations, in any case, but they don't want any press about illegal fundraising schemes.

They should be making an effort to get as many pro Rand audience members for all debates. I understand it's usually near impossible to get tickets (usually involves a raffle), but Rand supporters should be trying to get in.

I don't think they need to worry, it looks like most of the other campaigns have been doing these, this is from one of Rubio's raffles - https://marcorubio.com/birthdaycont...campaign=Daily_Social_Organic&utm_0id=051915b

LOL, good luck. Would be cool if someone here wins and can report back with the experience.

It is a great idea, others have done it and I'm glad to see them open to doing it too. Even more than the total amount of money raised, it's a way to draw in new donors. They might only be giving $5, but they're also giving their name and contact info so the campaign will be able to directly ask for donations from them later. And it increases his overall number of donors, which shows greater support.

I think they're safe. Every contest or drawing has to offer a "no purchase necessary" entry option. Like when you see it on a candy bar or whatever in the store, you technically don't have to buy the candy bar and open the wrapper to see if you win. You can mail them a self addressed stamped envelope with your info and get a free entry.

But they put that in the fine print so most people just see "buy this to enter" - or in this case donate.

Yeah, I think this one is going to be like the last one... a really small audience, and all the tickets were given to party members and connected people.

Whoever wins Rand's raffle has to represent all of us and make sure to cheer loudly. :toady:

Don't think the info has been released for the next debate yet, hopefully it actually has an audience and some supporters can get in.

I think a lot of the people who get tickets are big donors to the RNC. Not much overlap with us there.

I went to the first debate, thanks to a member of the RNC who happened to be former Iowa GOP Chairman.

Bump for any last minute entries.

I had to throw in my $5 in bitcoin to give it a shot.

By the way, bitcoin donations are the best. Fill out your name and address, scan the QR code with your phone, and while your thumb is still on send you get a confirmation email. No typing in credit card info. The whole thing is very smooth and quick. And bitcoin donations are processed with no fee for the campaign.

I did not get a phone call or an email saying I had won, so who won? And I hope they have more of these, I'm good for another 5 bucks!
