What is SPECTACULAR is the length of the interview.
But this is the equivalent of millions of dollars of advertising.

Bingo.

Glen Beck's program gets replayed 3 times on CNN, if I remember correctly. I wonder how much it would have cost the campaign to get this kind of national television coverage? Millions would probably be an accurate statement.

I rated it spectacular because of 2 things:

1. The time factor (one hour x 3 airings)

and

2. Relatively courteous questions and allowing Dr. Paul to fully answer each one

The net effect is solid, prime time, national television coverage that does not now have to be paid for with another money bomb.

Wow, whoever thought the interview was terrible and biased, what do you want to see in an interview?? The interviewer throwing flowers over Ron Paul's head and singing their praise without asking any questions? You do realize that an interview like this is not meant for people who already know about Ron Paul, but rather for people who don't know much, if anything, about him?

+1

It was fair and he allowed Dr. Paul to actually answer the questions pretty much. Wish there had been a few better questions, but overall I was pleased.

It was better than I ever dreamed it would be.

I just have a really hard time giving Beck credit, or any MSM talking heads for that matter. My faith in the media is shattered, and I can relate to the folks who are still looking for the "catch."

In my eyes Glenn Beck is as "establishment hack" as one can get. What happens next, a Sean Hannity endorsement? haha

I guess we'll need to stock up on slimjims to pass out to all those honking cars this weekend....Freedom is popular, and so is Ron Paul!

Yeah the death threat business that is just sad that we have elements like that among us that would threaten Beck.

If anything Beck was too deferential and so there were awkward moments - i.e. Beck would think Paul was done and start to ask a question, Paul was just pausing and then Beck backed off to let him finish and RP would stop talking so Beck could answer his question. Beck bent over backwards like I havent seen done for any candidate to be fair and he was even semi-supportive on the war issue, which on FOX that is a threat to your job security. I also rated it spectacular, and anyone who said terrible or biased - well I would say YOUR bias is showing.

Lol how can you ask for better questions when he spent the last segment of his show asking RP to rate him as an interviewer and if there was anything else he wanted to cover, and then basically giving him the last two minutes to make a closing statement.

Yes the 9/11 question and the death threat issue sucked that it was brought up, but anyone in Glen Beck's shoes would have! It was sad that it was even an issue that Ron Paul had to answer, but we can't blame Beck for it.

Whoever did not think that this interview was at least good will never be pleased period!

I mean the guy nearly praposed to Dr. Paul and think of all the exposure! Wow, what a great performance by the good Dr. This interview made my day...

Yeah, that is amazing for a MSM interviewer to offer that. I bet there was some behind-the-scenes negotiating between the campaign and Beck's people to make sure that Ron would be given these opportunities to fully answer and have a closing statement like that. That might be why this interview was postponed until now... they were still negotiating the terms.

I noticed that Ron did not go to Beck's studio - which was wise - that way, Ron Paul controlled the background setting - did you see the large Ron Paul banner to his left side and the US & Texas flag to his right!? Awesome visual strategy there.

It will also air again on weekends. I wonder how many viewers beck gets, anyone have any stats on that?

3 times on the first day and I'm not sure how many times on the weekend, but it should air at least 4 times.

WOW!

I wasn't able to watch it in real time, and just now got done watching the whole piece.

It was amazing.

Dr. Paul can cut through so clearly and concisely when he's not FORCED to give a 10 second sound byte.
The reality is that MOST his answers are completely fleshed out statement in about 30 seconds, it's not as if the man needs an hour to explain a 360 degree circle or something.

All in All I give this a VERY GOOD rating.

I couldn't quite go with spectacular only because of Glenn brining in the alleged personal death threats and conspiracy talk.....but...still I have to say Dr. Paul handled those questions perfectly, by once again stating HIS position and saying, look if other people believe these other things, then that's not in harmony with me and my message of peaceful non-violence.

Anyway....I gained a modicum of respect for Glenn for at least behaving gentlemanly even on the stickier issues. I don't think I 'll be running out to buy his book by a long shot, based on what he's previously said, he's going to have to do more to prove his sincerity and woo me....but a reasonable and fair interview was a d@mn good start.

Kudos to CNNHN and Mr. Beck for doing it, and doing it well, and 5 stars for Dr. Paul's performance!

I thought Ron Paul did a fantastic job, considering that Glen Beck came off like a moron.

This is probably the worst performance Glen Beck has ever had. I have never seen him do such a bad job. He looked like a terrified amateur giving his first interview.

The whole thing was just awkward.

I thought the interview was an honest home run!

The 9/11 and death threat issue was good so that Ron Paul could give him the ability to distance himself from the "kooky" side of the support group.

Thank you Glenn Beck!

I voted Good. I was unable to score it as Spectacular because of what Mr. Beck revealed about the threats on his life. This was completely ridiculous, uncalled for, and really shed a negative light on our grassroots movement. I hope in the future everyone is extremely careful about the way rants come across through email and posts. Things can be misinterpreted and while some of us get angry, its important to stay careful and clear.

I felt some of us caused some public embarassment to Dr. Paul by the alleged death threats. I'm not trying to knock anybody, but it would have been a much better interview without the death threat issue.

LOL the french kiss thing was typical Beck humor. I've listened to Beck for 7 years now and he has a great sense of humor. He says "you had me at hello" to things and ideas he really loves.
