It's also possible that Cruz could take away a lot of votes from Rubio in 2016 since they're both Hispanic and both thought to be members of the "tea party." I'm not necessarily sure that Cruz only takes away support from Rand.

The GOP wants to nominate a Hispanic, because they think a hispanic candidate would have a better chance of getting the hispanic vote in a general election. That's why I was saying some Republicans may have supported Rubio for that reason, but are now going to support Cruz.
