Glenn, Pat, and Stu, the good cop bad cop game. I remember those swine cackling about Debra Medina, and Glenn talking about how he could french kiss Rick Perry.
I actually listened to the clip, and I didn't get that impression at all. It was more like a discussion that might occur right here on RPF than an "absolute trashing".

I don't follow Beck too closely. My expectations were that he was a libertarian and very supportive of Rand. His co-host was uncertain if he would vote for Rand vs Hillary. And he said he thought Rand was an establishment Republican Too me those a shocking things for a libertarian to say. His co-host compared him to Nancy Pelosi.
I guess I take it as a bigger deal when they pre-endorse Ted Cruz over Rand before the election has even started. Glenn Beck explicitly said that Cruz is the better choice. To me that seems like a major deal. But, I'm approaching it from the view that I expected Beck to be a strong ally instead of a tepid non-enemy

Boy, it seems you really get around.![]()
You ever listened to the interview Ron did with Pat before he was Beck's sidekick? At the beginning of his 2008 presidential run?
It will tell you all you ever need to know about Pat and anybody that would hire him.

Yeah. And the candidate who gets endorsed and supported by the Beck-Levin-Hannity types always loses. The candidates that they hated the most (McCain and Romney) ended up winning.
Stopped reading your post right there. Beck is no libertarian.I don't follow Beck too closely. My expectations were that he was a libertarian
Beck never hated Romney. I think his whole strategy throughout 2012 was to help get Romney nominated.
I don't think Hannity or Levin ever did either.
They all wanted a "conservative" to get the GOP nomination rather than Romney. They may have supported him against Obama, but they certainly didn't support him in the GOP primary.
Beck did support him in the GOP primary, albeit furtively, which was why he worked so hard to squash Newt's hopes. And the others didn't seem to oppose him or acknowledge that he wasn't what they considered conservative.

If you have a chance re-listen. Here is the article on their website teasing the interview titled Rand=Nancy Pelosi?

That simply isn't the case. I heard Rush say many times on his show that Romney wasn't a conservative.
I listened to it live. Beck didn't sound that anti Rand to me. He basically just said the same thing that many of us have said, which is that Ron couldn't win the Presidency running on a completely honest and principled platform, and Rand has had to make some compromises with the establishment in order to have a real chance to win in 2016 and do what his dad couldn't do.
I'm not going to listen to Beck....I don't want to ruin my whole day, but it's to early in the election cycle for Beck to go full-retard. I'll take your word that it's not "absolute trashing". It's still honey season. No one takes Beck seriously anymore. All threads on places such as Free Republic result in a bunch of mockery. Quite the change from 2009.
Get lost, Beck.
Yeah, I am not hearing this "absolute trashing". Still, I wish Beck and some of these other talk radio hosts would go away.
