Gary Johnson says Rand just a conservative republican

I too voted for Gary Johnson because I thought he was the best libertarian choice in 2012, but I'm beginning to think that Chuck Baldwin (Constitution Party) would have been a better choice.

I don't understand the LP all of the sudden pretending like they are libertarian purists. This is the same party that ran Bob Barr and Wayne Allyn Root. This is also the same party that is giving strong consideration to Jessie Ventura for 2016, who isn't even close to libertarian purity. If you add all of this with the wackos they've ran locally over the years, this whole libertarian purity doesn't make much sense. I totally get running candidates for their name value, but don't try to claim "purity" if that is the tactic used.

Regarding Johnson, I wish someone would confront him on his marriage views. He subscribes to the statist idea that government can define marriage, while Rand takes the libertarian position that government has no business in defining marriage. Also, I wish someone would ask him why stop at the womb and why not abort a child when they are 6 months old?

I'm currently an LP member, but if they go with the self-proclaimed "Libertarian Marxist" Jessie Ventura, then I will have to think about finally giving up on them completely.

Johnson is selfish. I still don't know why he thought it was appropriate to run against Ron in 2012. His explanation is nonsensical.
