if gary got 5% that would be HUGE for the libertarian party because that would then get future lp pres. candidate on all 50 ballots automatically and allow them to use their money for other things.

I am mostly going to be focusing on Senate/Congressional candidates but don't see what anyone has to lose by supporting Johnson, what will you do if not him? - Romney, Obama???

I am a registered Republican who votes Libertarian , I consider myself to be very reasonable and rational .I do not think I could be convinced a windfall profts tax is a good idea. I support the Armed forces , but not the wars . My ideas of defense are pretty well in line with the Good Dr. , because I know it would work and cost less , I am a huge fiscal conservative . I have always been sure that I can spend my money more effeciently than bloated govt. I like the Constitution , lets use it .

SUPPORTING THE TROOPS BUT NOT THE WARS heads the parade of reasons to impose #WindfallProfitTaxes on the #WarRacket.

Barring prohibitive entry costs, monopolies/oligopolies, conspiracies in restraint and other unlawful practices, SOCIETY WILL GET MORE OF WHATEVER TURNS A PROFIT.

People who support Troops but not War should be MOST receptive to ripping the rug out from under the PRINCIPAL MOTIVATION FOR WAR: RICHES (especially Money/Power).

How often are you SUPREMELY CONFIDENT? I am supremely confident that, if War Profiteers don't get to hang onto the Profits, "we" will find ourselves very less often AT war, with fewer and fewer war-triggered #WindfallProfitTaxes accruing to a DIFFERENT STRONG ARM OF THE SAME BEAST. Nuthin' for nuthin'...Big Swinging Dicks call Officials' shots, NOT the other way around.

Moreover, LESS WAR >> LOWER TAXES.

Nixon was the primary reason the Libertarian Party started, and forty years later one of his closest associates is now heavily-aligned with the likely presidential nominee. How's that for irony?

Who says a state has to recognize the federal mandate if a party reaches 5% nationally? The LP will instead have to fight court cases, or get on the ballot through meeting the state requirements anyhow.
