A few years ago I would've thought that this is a good thing. Now, I realize that Romney will probably be worse as President than Obama if he ends up starting a war with Iran, as he's promising to do.

I wonder what Ron would poll against Obama -- if Gallup hadn't stopped polling him. Given that Ron polled as well or better than Romney against Obama regularly, and closest of all the other candidates to the extent he polled behind Romney, throughout this entire race.

That just means Obama's favorables are down.

This rope-a-dope charade is already nauseating... the moment Romney secures the nomination, the media will be full time negative on him and put out positive stories only on Obama. Media bias is good for at least 15% of the vote, and they're on record as acknowledging that.

You guys are reading this poll wrong. The only thing I can find that is a 9 points is Mitts favorable to unfavorable. 50 favorable to 41 unfavorable. Obama actually has a 52 favorable to 46 unfavorable. Romney is not beating Obama by 9%!

+rep! I recently watched a AJ video talking about the current trials for military contractors that tortured at Abu Grahib and/or Gitmo. Alex mentioned how Bush and John Woo were given virtual immunity from prosecution, but that underlings were being prosecuted. That reminded me of a fellow student I knew that was a Romney supporter that praised John Woo as a "patriot" for outlining the torture memos, but then said that Lyndi England and others deserved to be thrown under the bus for carrying out the torture because "they were doing it just gratuitously" or some crap. (This guy even looked like Mitt Romney to me. Same hair and everything). I thought about how giddy he must be for his man to be so close to the Whitehouse and I got nauseous. Yes Romney would be bad. And yet was before congress again claiming Obama could attack Syria with "U.N. authorization" and come back to congress later for approval which congress could deny with the "power of the purse". Hello? Earth to tyrant lacky? You haven't heard of the power to declare war? As in congress shall have the power to declare war? So I'm really torn. I'm hoping for a Paul miracle. But Romney would be a disaster for our country.

Unfortunately, those who are hardcore supporters of various candidates are very small in number compared to the massive amount of "soft votes" that most candidates get.

You guys are reading this poll wrong. The only thing I can find that is a 9 points is Mitts favorable to unfavorable. 50 favorable to 41 unfavorable. Obama actually has a 52 favorable to 46 unfavorable. Romney is not beating Obama by 9%!
