Gallup Presidential Poll released

The real question is why Ron Paul support has gone from 7% to 5%. Probably because he says things 'empire', instead of just military interests.

Also other 3% and no Opinion 14%, with that margin of error plus the 2% lost from the last poll could take Paul to a high of 21%, especially since it is still early. However, remember that if the other guys drop out, the top dogs will be able to grab their votes. Candidates 6-17=20% of the vote

Let's face it, this is a disappointing result after the CPAC win.

We bounce around between 5 and 10% in every poll. No need to panic over it.

But look at the "front runners" Mitt Romney is a joke, Sarah Palin is more of a joke, Mike Huckabee is an asshole. Seriously. What lunatics would vote for these people? Let's not sound so pessimistic people.

True. Things can change over night. I do hope Rand helps Ron a bit with his language however. The message needs refinement for the every day Joe who cares little to educate themselves on the matters at hand.

Yeah, I'm reading Rand's book right now and it's really making me respect him even more. I had my doubts, but I think, despite the rest of the Tea Party, Rand is the real deal. He just packaged the message differently. That's gotta be our focus for Ron Paul. It's possible. That's what Rand's victory does. Give me hope.

no-one their testing is even paying attention yet, look for Ron Paul to kill them in the debates.

They included Christ Christie and Mike Pence, while both have confirmed that they are not running. Didn't Thune also hint strongly that he wasn't running too?

Polls that include so many non-candidates are not an accurate reflection of what the vote will be. Once the ballots get finalized in each state, then the polls will have more credence. That's not to say these polls don't serve any purpose, but we should take them with a grain of salt. The candidates actually running, sometimes it will be Paul and sometimes it won't, will have higher percentages when the polls are composed of candidates that are actually running.

Seriously, top 5 is not bad at all. Rick Santorum f*cking wishes he had RP's numbers. And 5% is like 4% more than we had in '07 at this time.

So, we're actually in pretty good shape. But no one said this was going to be easy. This is going to be an uphill battle, but that's the way it was in 1776, too. :)
