**FYI We are getting screwed royally in NV!!!

It appears that some people don't realize that these events will be the end of Ron having any chance in Nevada tomorrow.

While we sit here and debate and wait for the campaign to tell us what to do (which, as I understand, they're legally not really allowed to do), in a few hours, it will be too late.

  • What we should be doing is calling and emailing ALL of the local Nevada TV and radio stations, along with the national news media and telling them about this issue WITHOUT mentioning Ron Paul's name in a concerted effort to use the media to raise awareness.

We need to make it sound like this is a huge issue for all the republican candidates so that it might gain some real media coverage.

Only with this documented before hand will we be able to gain sympathy for when we try to address the issues that will undoubtably happen during the caucus.

  • We should also be trying to get volunteers to go to any old locations to make sure people are directed to the right location as a backup.

If you don't think this will hurt Ron's turnout more than the other candidates, you are naive. This type of things has been used numerous times to affect the voting process. It happened in Florida in at least one election, probably more and I've heard about it occurring in other states as well.

If Romney, Huck and McCain bus people in early while Ron's campaign is left to rely on people having to figure out where to go and what the rules are -- who do you think is going to feel the effects most?

That might present even more problems than if the caucaus goes on. If the caucaus gets postponed, other candidates would probably rush in to campaign. We're screwed either way unless the injunction is only for an hour and firmly establishes the rules as they were supposed to be (affidavits not allowed).

If they have a legal team, maybe they have come to the same conclusion. If they don't have a legal team in place on the ground, we are totally screwed.

Thanks. Give me some phone numbers. I'll call.

I'm just livid enough to make contacting media hard, but someone should start contacting places - drudge, newsmax, wnd to start with and work out.

There ya go. Positive idea. +1000

Action we can take that won't piss off our current voters and will still get others to hear about this fishy business.

Perhaps start a new thread with this?

Its also amazing that they can't see that you have to have more then 800,000 to run a national ad campaign, or that this primary election is completely different than previous ones by having all the states the same day, or that it was done that way to give the media all the power in choosing the candidates.

Ron Paul can win, and we can have a great country, BUT THERE IS ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT, WAKE THE UCK UP!!!!!!

That really burns my ass to no end. I try to donate $10 every day and for the MLK bomb I'm going to try for 3 or 500. I'm a student so that's big money to me. I've been dissapointed BIGTIME by the people saying we have tons of money in the bank so it's allllllright, or those saying that the secret strategy is the precinct captains so we don't need any money, or hey I'm only going to donate to the grassroots from now on, the campaign didn't deliver. Deliver WHAT? Victory? Not everybody gets what they want! Ask Rudy and Fred! You want a chance to win, they need FUCKING MONEY. If you want to guarantee losing terribly and being laughed at by the other candidates and the media for weeks, then go ahead and don't donate. Nobody can compete without funds, I don't care how many sign wavings you hold. THEY CAN BUY NATIONAL TV AIRTIME THEY CAN RUN PROFESSIONAL ADS hell they'd probably even run GRASSROOTS ads if they had money lying around. They can send mailers to all of those states they can have offices and GOTV teams in EVERY SINGLE ONE.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH

No other GOP candidate can even dream of that. The field is such a mess that it is a miracle. Fate is handing us, in this election, the best possible shot for liberty ON A SILVER PLATTER and all we're doing is trolling Fox News and half-heartedly plugging a Money Bomb nobody even seems to want!

THIS IS IT. You want your country? There is a fucking price tag - $23 Million. That sounds like a lot, but IS IT REALLY? I mean we're not even trying. Ron asked us to step up and we're on the cusp of letting him and the entire movement down. This is IT. There are no do-overs or fantasyland third party cindarella stories. We're in the thick of this and THIS IS IT. Fuck I just donated $20 dollars I'm so mad.

Where is the FIRE? DO YOU STILL WANT YOUR COUNTRY?

IM not sure what you want us to do. I read it, I read your underlining. You want us to fly across the country tonight and start blowing up buses entering the state? Or maybe I can go outside and run around in my underwear.

I have to agree with Rob, calm, get some direction from HQ. If they want us to make some calls, let us know. But thats about all we can do at this point is make calls, and I dont want to call the same people over and over and over again.

This is a sensible, non-alarmist, well thought-out way to deal with this situation.
And it doesn't intrude on what the campaign headquarters may or may not be doing. Great idea!

Horseshit. I question the legal garbage, but if the campaign really wanted something done by grassroots, they shouldn't rely on some hysterical drama queen to communicate what actions need to be taken. Worse, they shouldn't bother talking to anyone so unstable that they don't have a clue about what needs to be done, but just gets everyone worked into a panic. WE NEED OUR ENERGIES FOCUS!!

QFT - I quoted this in a new thread!

What was drama about what I posted? I suggested that we use the media to alert the general public at large that there is an issue with the information provided by the Republican party and it affects all candidates. This is a real issue that the people should be informed about and the media should be doing their job and covering it.

Unfortunately, they will not cover this on their own, and the national media probably won't cover it at the Ron Paul campaign's request because that would give him valuable air time.

And whose not focusing?

It's too late to go door-to-door or call where I live and I'm sitting here writing letters to people in Florida. It only takes a few minutes of each of our times if we help each other out and pursue this.

Until everyone here quits insulting and unifies, we're going to have a lot of painfully hard battles ahead.

Just relax, go vote, and have fun. No one is screwing Ron Paul, unless you are suggesting that RP supporters are not as smart as other GOP supporters and wouldn't be able to figure out the caucus system.

Okay, that is about the funniest thing I have ever heard!

No one is screwing Ron Paul?!

You can't be serious! I watched the news all day today and while I heard every other candidate's name MANY times (even Rudy and Fred's), I only heard Ron's name during one short segment -- just now on Anderson Cooper, and a brief mention by someone in South Carolina being interviewed. In the last week, I've only heard his name on TV tonight... two times.

If you don't think that's a good "screwing," you're clearly not paying attention.

And no, I'm not saying RP supporters are not smart, but it's awfully hard to figure something out if people send you the wrong information to begin with.

In a normal election, you raise money, win a state, raise money, win a state.

In this election, everything is going to be decided in a "super duper" tuesday. That means the media is picking the candidate unless we can advertise nationally.

LAS VEGAS -- Ron Paul, other than Mitt Romney the only Republican actively campaigning for Saturday's Republican caucuses in Nevada, called this afternoon for the state party to consider postponing the contest due to "multiple inconsistencies."

But the state Republican Party immediately dismissed the allegations and said the caucus would go on as planned.

"We would hope that the Paul campaign would go act like adults and not try to set up straw men to make up for their lack of organizing," said Steve Wark, a caucus spokesman.

The Paul campaign complained that voters have received postcards with incorrect caucus locations, that eligibility requirements to participate have been changed several times, and that several rural counties could run out of ballots.

"The inconsistencies, errors and multiple changes in the rules reek of playing politics with the what should be a neutral process," said campaign manager Lew Moore said in a statement. "The people of Nevada deserve to know exactly what the rules are and to know that those rules are being fairly enforced. This has not happened up to this point, and the caucus appears to be in chaos."

A Las Vegas Review-Journal survey published today showed Romney leading with 34 percent and Paul in fifth with 7 percent. John McCain had 19 percent, Mike Huckabee 13 percent, Fred Thompson 8 percent, and Rudy Giuliani 6 percent.

And, now there are reports of voters being called with wrong caucus locations, and (get this), the caller ID says Ron Paul.

The GOP really has its ducks in a row.
