I'm a professional software engineer by day, independent game developer by night. In one of the indie game dev communities that I frequent someone (or a team? I'm not sure) is releasing a game in a few days called Full Contact Debate.

You can play as Hillary, Obama, Huck, McCain and soon Ron Paul (after the creator posted the game he quickly became convinced that Ron Paul needed to be included and has confirmed he will be in the game ASAP).

Its free to sign up and should be available to play in a few days.

In any case, here's the site and a screenshot.

It looks fairly simple, but for some reason I think being able to run around as Ron Paul and blast Hillary, Obama and McCain in online multiplayer will be fairly entertaining.

Who is in the bottom right corner?

From left to right:
Huck, Obama, Hillary, McCain, Paul

Originally they didn't even have Ron Paul in the game (funding issue), but some of us mentioned it and they quickly (in 1 day) got him added in.

All of the characters are deformed looking. It seems reasonable for an indie game.

So it is coming out today? When?

I think the beta is supposed to be out today. Still waiting for a download to try it out myself.

It does look like they have some kind of online ranking system (by candidate and possibly by party?) and from what I've read, you play on either the side of the Democrats or Republicans, but can pick whatever character you want (for example, you could be running around as McCain but be on the Democrat team [where he likely belongs ;P]).
