From The Ground in Maine: Romney's Plan Backfired

Knowing fully RP's delegate strategy, they will now work to neutralize it. The results of the straw polls hardly matter now; even if RP wins Maine, the establishment GOP can rig and massage the delegate assignation process until they get the script they want.

What was the strawpoll count?

My understanding is the straw poll count was probably close. They are also not announcing them so they can 'surprise' this evening, I believe. But after the vote the Romney people left and the delegate count apparently was NOT close and one of our guys won the slot to appoint vacancy delegates.

If they make it impossible to work within their system, they bring the results on themselves.

Then how are we getting numbers from certain caucus locations?

they aren't official, they are notes from people there if they saw them etc. and according to at least one post at least one entry isn't correct. And a bunch of locations are haphazardly reported, we don't know the numbers that aren't included since they just weren't read to the group.

Sure they'll try, but it will be harder to neutralize the (hopeful) grassroots momentum of a Ron Paul win.

Anyone else just see Fox Live in Maine? They interviewed caucus goers and played the interviews....

Guess who they left out? LMAO

That's right, you guessed it. No Ron Paul supporters were included. Faux News knows no bounds.

The most useful thing any of the secret millionaires could do for us: buy Fox News. Seriously. None of the other news outlets matter at all -- Republican voters totally distrust them all.

Republicans meanwhile don't trust anything except Fox News. PBS comes the closest to breaking even among non-Fox outlets, although not very close, at -30 (26/56). It's followed by CNN at -49 (18/67), MSNBC at -51 (18/69), NBC at -52 (17/69), CBS at -54 (17/71), ABC at -56 (14/70), and Comedy Central at -59 (12/71). But Fox News comes in at a stellar 73/17. -- PPP

There is a large block of Republican voters that is completely and totally and utterly owned by Fox News. If we buy Fox and gradually (and subtlely) make it more Paul-friendly, we win that entire block.
