My first caucus ever and I am pushing 40 years old. There was alot of confusing about the causus process by the group that led the process on what to motion, ect. I think a lot of Romney & Paul Supporters thought that this was a primary that you just could show up any where between 8:00 and 11:00am and walk up and vote. In reality anyone that got in after 9:00am could not vote becuase the caucus was processes was underway with its parties speakers. Gov. John Sununu from NH spoke on behalf of Mittens. A young lad from named Mike Wallace of South Portland who has worked on Ron & Rand Paul's campains while prior serving in the Airforce spoke for Ron Paul.
After the vote there were 41 motioned delegated that payed a 25$ fee to represent this area of the Maine district to participate in May 5-6th Maine convention. I was one of them. The delagate chair person motioned in to be elected was our very own Mike Wallace. While I didn't take an exact delegate count, I can easily say that over half of the delagates are Ron Paul supporters even though Mittens won the popular vote by merely 1 vote.
Side note:
About 12 older folks over 60 that showed up late to vote for Romney were turned down. One 18 year old Ron Paul supporter left becuase he was told he could not be a delegate, so he left prior to voting.
This thing is a do race between Ron Paul and Mittens for sure.
