This is why a near riot almost happened.
I was at this caucus. I am a Romney supporter and the media has gotten this story wrong, as usual. I'm here to set the record straight.

First, the issue with the fellow who would not put away his camera is separate. Completely separated by probably 15 minutes of calmness and order. The initial commotion caused by enforcing that rule, whether it was proper or not, or against the rules or not, was completely separate from what followed at least 15-20 minutes later. Completely separate.

The real issue occured later, when the St. Charles Central Committee (100% Santorum supporters) had their temporary chairman (Eugene Dokes) up there appointing people against Robert's Rules of Order as adopted. He was appointing people all by himself, dare I say like a dictator, without a vote. And then he even appointed one of his Committee friends (also a Santorum supporter) to be chairman, with a hasty voice vote. When the Ron Paul crowd and our team stood up and called for a point of order and a Division (hand count), he ignored all of us.

There was no collusion between the Ron Paul crowd and our side prior to the caucus, I can say that without a doubt. When we saw how the Central Committee was trying to ramrod all of us, our organizers quickly got with Paul's organizers to protest together against this. And I think we are right in doing so.

So, to recap, the issue was the temporary chairman, Mr. Dokes, was blantantly disregarding parliamentary procedure and Roberts Rules of Order. He ignored all points of order, including one time saying "I'm not taking those now." Well, he has no choice, according to the rules. Then he adjourned the meeting without a vote. The whole thing was a ramrod job by the St. Charles Central Committee. I am so disgusted that this could be happening in America.

The state GOP needs to remove this guy(Doaks) and put in a new impartial temporary chair that will follow the rules. Unless they want another near riot.

They plan to gerrymander St Charles into tiny districts that give Santorum some delegates where he would have gotten none, and minimize Ron's also splitting the organization. Exactly HOW MANY parlaimentarians and trained chairs do we have? At least that is what I get from some party noise about 'making sure St Charles is represented' which is eerily like what the State of NV GOP said last time after they very similarly terminated without vote the State Convention where Ron's delegates were being elected to represent the state at national. We all remember that the way they 'made sure Nevada was fully represented' was by self appointing delegates in a private conference call, simply throwing out the multi stage primary caucus results. This time the state GOP is talking about 'breaking up St Charles' because it is too big, so big people actually protested having a slate ramrodded through ignoring a clear majority of people against it. I'm sure they will try to fix that for any recaucusing.

The GOP chairman rapes us and then has us Ron Paul supporters ARRESTED for complaining about it. As always, the media does zero to validate a research for a chance to attack Ron Paul. Its so funny. Five stars for the thread, easily. There needs to be a lawsuit for wrongful arrest to repair our reputation.

Is there a link or some other means of getting this information out to a wider media exposure. We need to make sure stories from the Romney camp are in this as well.
The corruption cannot stand.

I don't understand how there wasn't a riot with that being pulled, but we're level headed people who can control ourselves and know to play by the rules.

Is Doaks under any possibility of breaking the law with this crap? Hell, I would consider it treason to take over a political agenda without following the rules and to exclude a majority. It's downright dictatorship, why isn't the general public attacking this guy? Our election is turning into Russia's.

Is there a contact for that Romney supporter? Would be good for him/her to contact media in cooperation with ours there in St Charles (and other Romney supporters if known).

Just imagine....
If Ron Paul caucus were to storm in and took over the chair and the whole process, would the GOP have them arrested....darn right!.

So why wasn't this Dokes fellow arrested.

Yes. Exactly. This stuff needs to be going to the media.

I'm still trying to make sense of exactly what happened but there is sufficient evidence that something extremely shady happened here and I've been posting it all over facebook. Even my non Ron supporter friends agree this is fucked up.

Because this is a public forum traceable to everyone's real life by any interested parties, maybe the above dialogue is not representative of real feelings in america, but going by this thread alone as the record of american sentiment, I have to say, this shit is sad and why we are already defeated. haha GO TO THE MEDIA! lol

Why do people have this psychological need to seek the officiating nod of some authority-representative institution before they are authorised to get angry and correct problems? Were this same episode to happen among a free people, this committee chairman fella would return home to find his business looted and empty, his partners laying low and thrice-denying him, and the people of his township leering in darkness over rifle barrels. He literally could not continue to live a normal life among respectable people, or do any business at all in their markets, by treating the electoral system that way.

Lucky for him though, this is america, and public education and lifelong coercion immersion has installed blockers in the mind, so the centers responsible for defense and for outrage alike are both waiting in line, limp dick in hand, for authorization to be initialized into a final action that is directed by the same system that gives incentives for this chairman. sadness. And the last man blinked
