Free At Last! The next money bomb is ready!!

Not only is this in-line with Ron Paul's own statements of admiration for MLK, but it also is a nice antidote to the disgusting smear tactics that his enemies are using against him.

I AM IN.

This MB has "blowback" written all over it. Whether you like MLK or consider him someone who's been inappropriately idolized, there are big issues here.

1) Has the King Foundation been contacted to get permission to use his name? They've sued people for things like this before.
2) Are you going to hear from Farakan, Jesse Jackson or Sharpton about using MLKs name to pander to the black vote?
3) Are you prepared to lose 50% of older voters who remember MLK as a communist, plagarist, marital cheater and rabble-rouser whose death resulted in the worst riots we've ever seen? You've only heard the PC version of MLK if you attended schools in the last couple of decades.

I agree.

In case you did not know, the MLK money bomb idea offended one of the members of the forum. He left the forum because he is part-black (his words) and was strongly opposed to the use of MLK, whom he held in very low regard for MLK's "communist/socialist" philosophies.

He felt MLK was an "enemy of Constitutional government and true capitalism" and in no way represented Dr. Paul's philosophies.

I wrote a message earlier on before I saw this gentleman's note, in which I suggested MLK not be used for the money bomb, due to possible controversies. I felt it would be best to use an event rather than a person.

The only reason I mention it again now is so that you might see the problems we may inadvertently create. It is quite possible that Dr. Paul might be well aware of some of this information as well and by using a person so recent in history and also controversial, we are imposing on him by this association, a person he might not hold in high regard.

This is not intended to offend anyone, but I regret if you did not catch my original note.

I still suggest you use an event rather than a person for these money bombs.

Thanks for reading this and again, this is not meant to hurt anyone's feelings or offend in any way. Just passing along something I thought you should know.

People getting hung-up on MLK's ideas on how a govt. should be run are missing the point. He's was a pioneer in the use of civil disobedience to affect political change in America, and he was as symbol of civil rights and God-given equality of man. He's one of Ron Paul's heroes.

Stop with all the MLK bashing.

I'm going to be very upset if this money bomb gets media attention and makes headlines for being a dud.

I SAY CONTACT THE KING FOUNDATION, FARAKAN, JESSE JACKSON, SHARPTON, ACLU AND ASK FOR PERMISSION JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE

I don't need permission from Jesse Jackson to donate to Dr. Paul on a day in order to celebrate the message of independance that Dr. Martin Luther King put out in his I have a Dream speech. You guys can go ahead and ask him for permission if you want though.

I'm not quite sure how this money bomb will help. It's done 2 weeks before Super Tuesday and if we do raise millions, Dr. Paul will only have 2 weeks to spend that money and get advertisement. Getting advertisement isn't instant and takes time to setup, so the most that would happen is that Dr. Paul might get a couple days worth of some extra airtime. Just my opinion.

Why? Let's just call it the "20,000,000 Dollar
Goal Money Bomb
" - or something like
that. This should be an achievable goal. :)

Well you see all the flakk Dr. Paul got for the Lincoln crap and that wasn't even of his doing, now he will probably have to deal with all the crap associated with MLK to.
Way to stupid asses.

Dr. Paul says that he's got enough money to run the campaign competitively through February 5th. If the nomination ends up moving towards a brokered convention, Dr. Paul is going to need to compete in the late states against cash strapped opponents. These states nominate delegates into June.

Show me where Paul has said MLK is his hero.

I love this stuff about Lincoln on all the TV with Ron Paul the teacher, just think how many people are learning the truth about Lincoln and how he was a propaganda tool for the elite for 150 yr, just making the machine look badder and badder. Everytime they take Ron he opens a whole can of worms that in the end the MSM don't want people to know. Ron's a genius. The elite have used MLK so much that wouldn't dare say anything bad about him so Ron is safe. And look the 14,000 views here, sure can raise interest.

.

It seems very evident to me that associating a money bomb with MLK is divisive.

This thread is proof. Most historians who have a deep respect for U.S. freedoms know that MLK had a socialist mindset. MLK and Ron Paul don't mix. Would you use Ghandi or Nelson Mandela?

The organizers of the two previous moneybombs and the alternative media that promoted them will have to get behind this moneybomb in order for anything to happen. If that happens all the mainstream establishment gatekeepers in the world masquerading as Ron Paul supporters won’t be able to stop it.
