Free at Last Money Bomb is Official

There are myriad reasons why a Ben Franklin Day moneybomb on the 17th is far wiser than a MLK Day moneybomb on the 21st. Where should I start?

bump, yes,campaign needs money

for what? They aren't spending the money they have now either at all or effectively. There are threads on here about people in Michigan that don't even have signs - that's pathetic.

If we don't place top 2 in Michigan - I've got news for you, your money bomb does not matter.

Way to pound a square peg through a round hole. Way to pay attention to what the community has said about the freeatlast date. Way to wave the Trevor stick and force it to happen.

The only reason this is going forward is they lowered the pledge amount to $10 and aren't marketing it as a moneybomb anymore. 3,500 pledges @ $10 = $35,000 - hardly the money the campaign will need going into Super Tuesday. Even though I don't 100% agree it, I'll pledge - but I will support benjaminsforpaul.com on Jan 17th before endorsing this if the moneybomb is inevitable.

We need to front load the campaign going into Super Tuesday and overall I consider this a poor plan and forced, but since you control the funtraising monopoly and control the "official" grassroots fundraising effort, of course we must follow your judgment and stewardship.

I consider the way this has been conducted as akin to a black box with no input from the outside or consideration of concerns of others. My perception is that this an act of ego rather than good judgement, sound decision making, and in the interest of the Ron Paul Campaign.

I apologize for the tone of message - it is not meant as a personal attack, but merely a critique. Like many I have stong feelings about Dr. Paul and it is hard for me to let go of my own personal feelings, forgive me if I am not being objective.

Best of Luck,

Troy Fisher

We may not win but I think we are going to be in this till the end.

It won't just be Trevor that will be sued. They will sue the Ron Paul Campaign.

Yikes people, we have been warning you about this before.

guys ...this is the real moneybomb. they're goin for as many donors as possible which is why they got it down to $10. These guys were successful in initiating the last two money bombs so there is absolutely no reason not to tip our hats to this one.

It won't be me getting in the way. It will be the King Foundation when they file their lawsuit. That will get LOTS of news coverage.

EXACTLY. Trevor was interviewed on the Alex Jones show and said that his approach to this event is not in how much we can raise, but more in how many donors we can get. $10 will help the campaign, is affordable, and is more likely to have the most donors of any previous money drive.

This is a donor drive.

hey bubba. lead, follow or get atta the way

+1

So we have Ron Paul's Payday, Benjamins for Paul, and now the MLK money bomb. Is it so bad that we have choices? Personally, I'll participate in all of them, but if there's one or more that you don't agree with, how about simply ignoring it instead of being negative? We all have the same goal.

Don't we already have a money bomb on Ben Franklin's birthday?

Yes. This donor-bomb shouldn't pull much away from the 17th -- this is encouraging people to donate 10 and no more. It is all about getting the donor numbers high, not about the money itself. That's why it is only a $10 pledge.

You mean their is a good chance the Campaign will get SUED for the MLK money bomb. GRASSROOTS RULE #1 : DO NO HARM TO THE CAMPAIGN!!!!

EDIT: Has anyone contacted any lawyers or the MLK Foundation to find out their stance on this. If this was really a thought out effort then a phone call should have been made, how much trouble is it to make a phone call?

Ya right. And who are they gonna sue, you? Aw...I didn't really know you had so much concern for the well-being of those who are initiating it. How considerate of you. Drop them an email and share your concern with him. Until then it's official and it's gonna get alternative media backing.
