Raun Paul easily won the portion where he was actually included. I am fairly critical of Paul and anyone going for such a high office. He knocked those questions into the ground even the Iran question which I was afraid he would mess up. I that yes the war hawks will decide they aren't for him, but he will have won the independents for the primary and a lot of the left for the general. I was worried about tonight's debate but he knocked it out the park and I am pleasantly surprised.

I was not able to watch the debate live tonight and just caught the highlight reel. I noticed we has some worriers (much like we do in most debates) No worries folks, I know emotions run high during these things but Ron kicked that ass. Bachmann is about to look like an absolute tool on the Iran thing when the fact check stuff makes its way out.

OK, having watched the highlights, I do wish that they'd spliced in the question so we know what he was answering in the 2nd answer (and maybe kept Bachmann afterwards -- it looked like she might be replying to Ron?) and that they'd kept in whatever lame response the Grinch made to Ron's 3rd answer.

So if there's any better version that comes along, feel free to post it. My thoughts on the debate:

Again, the first answer was strong. The question was an attack, but the substance of Ron's answer turned it into a total positive, focusing on his strengths in the economy, civil liberties, etc.
Really great answer to the 4th question (earmarks) by the way, good job, Ron.
What a bizarre idea they brought up in the 5th question about closing down courts. Is this suddenly an issue? Bizarre.
Fine answer to favorite Supreme Court Justice. None of the Above is usually a good call, and definitely is in regards to the black dress gang.
Very courageous and truthful answer on Iran, as expected. And wow, the shill keeps trying and trying to attack him on it.
Bachmann exchange: WOW! He made all the good points, he totally annihilated these clowns with the truth. How are you going to strengthen the military if you don't have any money to do it? Ha! Bachmann final word: "As President I stand on the side of peace, for the American people." What are you talking about, bubblehead?
Very nice on the last question about attacking fellow Republicans, too.
