There's a vote over at
http://www.1190kex.com/pages/pages/straw_poll.php and it's not going well at all for Dr Paul. In fact, it's going very badly.
It's not your regular online, 1 day poll. It runs for 8 weeks, with one candidate being eliminated each week. It's round 4, and Dr. Paul is in 5th place, looking like he will be eliminated in this round.
The tragedy of him being eliminated at this point is that he will miss up to four weeks of FREE radio airtime, being discussed with the other top tier candidates. That air-time is very valuable, so it would be very unfortunate if he were to miss out.
I don't know what their game is, but there's two "Vote again" buttons on the page, allowing multiple votes. A refresh does the same.
One (or several) supporters of other candidates have obviously automated the process, and have been absolutely hammering the vote. At this point, I suspect there are so many votes cast that each vote either barely registers, or may only bump the vote by 0.01%. By the end of this week, it looks like there'll be more votes in that poll than there are voters in the US!
Right now, they seem to have ganged up on Dr. Paul. His support is actually going BACKWARDS.
Dr. Paul needs help! Ordinarily, a small radio straw poll wouldn't matter much, but there are tangible rewards if he keeps in this run-off. Remember that $430,000 that was raised for radio airtime recently? That's the sort of dollars that this poll could be worth to the campaign. Well, a good chunk thereof. Please hop over there and help out.
