Founding Fathers Flyer Set For New Hampshire Newspaper!

Thanks for your vote of confidence.

I suppose you would like to float me a few hundred for a dedicated server and to pay several people to do updates and improvements?

Why are some people in this forum seemingly HOSTILE about my site?
I'm doing the best I can for my first website.
Sheesh. I'm ONE person trying to contribute to Ron Paul.

hahaha.. I agree. I don't know why either. I like your site. I do. To me, its a good site.

I think what the general concensus is that its not "professional" in the sense of corporate branding/identity. You have a good site, but it is not saying "corporate/polical legitimacy".. you know what i mean. I think what most here are saying is that if someone new comes to the campaign, they shouldn't go to a fan site - but the HQ site. I don't think its a bomb on you so much as people want newcomers to go to the source.

Hang your head high. I personally like your site. Others have criticized it, but I like the layout and such.

DO NOT get discouraged. You are doing the best you can, and it is a good site.

You have a great site. It's what Lord Xar said. We're trying to just direct them to official campaign stuff, for the most part.

Thanks for all you do. Please keep it up. :)

Thank you Lord Xar.

It's funny you should mention "corporate branding" as it is ironic since it is a grassroots effort.

However out of all the other non official Ron Paul sites none of them strike me as "corporate" either.

I'm not trying to compete with the campaign site. I only offer mine up as news source for stories & videos not on Paul's site. I get dozens of emails from people who like the site.

I have been addressing the slow loading by rewriting the video code and chunking the archive pages. As you can imagine however keeping up with the latest news and trying to code the site for improvements is a 16 hour day job sometimes.

There have been many improvements as of late: RSS, new format, pop up videos with dimming, New navigation menu etc, etc,

Soon I will be adding a contribute section in which authors can write original content articles and submit in an editorial type section.

Improvements are happening at the quickest pace a single person can do.

I do this out of my heart for the movement and for Ron Paul. Nothing else.

Thanks!

I am with you... you are right, its all grassroots.. infact, I believe some flyers I have of yours that I am selling have your address on there.. I think though, for 'advertisements' its probably best to just point people to the source.

I think in terms of fan sites, yours and dailypaul are the only sites I go to.......(besides here, of course).

saynotoslavery:

It's my understanding that only the official campaign site is going to be listed in this ad. With the exception of providing them a link to Aravoth's "Stop Dreaming" video.

Your site is however listed on the 2-page Founding Father flyers. So, I hope you're expecting a lot of extra traffic. :)

Please don't get discouraged. You're doing such a wonderful job and we appreciate you so much.

Thanks guys.

It can be a bit discouraging at times when I do something for free and I am met with disparity.

I completely understand pointing newcomers to the official sources and I take no issues with that.

Sites like Daily Paul benefit from advertising and articles written by multiple people via a content mangement system. I intend to offer something similar soon but with no advertising.

I hope upgrading from shared hosting to virtual server and recoding will help.

Thanks again.

Max, thanks for your hard work, and for hanging with this.

The debates we have over ads are heated because of how much we all care. Just imagine how the debates on the Constitution must have been!

Thank you.

I'm always open to constructive suggestions.

Sorry, but apparently you are not always open to constructive suggestions, even from professional web designers, which tends to boggle the mind.

I have suggested to you through PM that you NOT promote this web site to newcomers to Ron Paul. The content is not geared toward the newbie. They will be overwhelmed.

Your web site IS great for people already hooked on Ron Paul who want to be updated on every tidbit associated with the campaign, every word Rp says, every step he takes, and every mention he gets, good or bad, on MSM.

I only object to you requesting that others promote your site on their ad materials. For one thing, based on the domain name, it could easily be confused with the official campaign web site!

And I'm sorry, but nobody's first attempt at a web site is very good! When I started in web design, I was humble enough to realize that my first web site should not be dedicated to something as crucial as a presidential campaign!

Yes, the people on this forum like your site, because they already LOVE Ron Paul. But one thing an *experienced* web designer knows is that you must make the content fit with your target audience. No newbie is going to be swayed by the big banners shouting for funds, heavy graphics, scrolling and flashing text, and and the 8 billion links and videos.

Use it as a clearinghouse for "all things Ron Paul" yes. But please be wise enough to not use it as a marketing tool.

Still spewing your petty hate propaganda against one of the most popular Ron Paul news sites on the Internet huh?

http://www.ronpaulforpresident2008.com/

Let me ask you something Question Authority where is your grassroots Ron Paul site? How many countless months have you dedicated on your Ron Paul website to bring the freedom message to the masses.

It's naysayers like you that dissuade aspiring grassroots efforts for Ron Paul. You're a hack and contribute NOTHING with your negativity.

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ronpaulforpresident2008.com in the ad!!!! This is a very slow loading, scattered, almost messy, busy, and amateur web site.

Here are my choices:

ronpaul2008.com
RonPaulAudio.com
lewrockwell.com/paul/

PLUS maybe tell people to "Google Ron Paul" and "Youtube Ron paul". Something like that.
