Forget the US Senate race in Kentucky. Time to win state seats....

Exactly wrong. Matt Bevin will lose by 25-30 pts. Jenean is a solid opponent who has more appeal than any person who's ever run against Jody. Not to mention she's an actual small government conservative who's put blood and sweat in the game. Not like a rich businessman from New England trying to win in the Midsouth.

What do I know though, I've only been involved in numerous races in Kentucky many in paid roles and most winning.

A 22-point margin in favor of the Democratic incumbent is way too large to overcome. It's much easier to convince thousands of Republican primary voters that the unpopular incumbent is not conservative enough than convince thousands of Democrats to vote for a Republican over the popular former house speaker.

Two things, Jenean has not been poll tested and has 1,000x more potential than the hairdresser who lost last time. Secondly, Mitch McConnell has a 60% favorable with GOP Voters.

You are free to forget about any race that you want. Don't come here and piss on candidates that other people here want to support.

I will piss on candidates who don't represent liberty getting pumped by liberty activists. If people start pumping Santorum, will you be ok with it?

No one is forcing you to support Bevin. Some of us here like him a lot and plan on voting for him. If you don't like him by all means don't vote for him, but don't tell other people how they should vote. How about you use the time you spent bashing Bevin into helping other Liberty candidates?

How about you not tell me how I can speak my mind on the MAJOR waste of time this movement does in this Commonwealth. "How about you use the time you spent bashing Bevin into helping other Liberty candidates?" Obviously, you don't know my history of helping and donating so, I'll let that slide. I've heard enough from Bevin to know he is NOT a liberty candidate.

What makes him so bad that you have to sabotage his campaign against McConnell?

Sorry, but I find the disease in Washington more destructive and distressing than in any of the fifty state legislatures. I don't consider downsizing any state or local government as critical to the survival of this nation as the eradication of the Washington Diseased Cancer.

He's younger and can sit in that seat and be Santorum Jr. It's ok if you like Santorum types.

You can't tell the difference between him and Santorum?

Anyway, earlier you called him a carpetbagger. I guess it's because he's from New Hampshire. Well, IIRC Ron Paul was from Pennsylvania and so was his son.

Even if Bevin and McConnell were identical on the issues, it would simply come down to an opportunity to retire a Senator who has been in Washington far too long. But it's a much better deal than that. Bevin may not be Ron Paul, but he should be better than most in the Senate.

There is a trend of people bashing "less than Ron Paul" candidates who have a good chance at winning, and then suggest a candidate that is perfect to them, but doesn't have a chance at all. Sometimes that is just a personal preference, other times you might wonder what the real agenda is.

He has no shot. I've been pissed with the Liberty movement and their insane approach of backing people with no shot OR when people like Massie who I support have it won and are in the general and they keep doing calls etc. while ignoring people on the state level in dog fights. I want to win the state house and Senate with Liberty candidates. We do that and there is no question this state changes.

You aren't winning people to your cause this way.

Furthermore, those of us outside of Kentucky who are supporting Bevin don't have the same vested interest in Kentucky state house candidates. Those really have to be won on the ground in the district by the grassroots.

And since you seem to be insisting Bevin is not a liberty candidate, how do you explain many of Rand's people supporting him, including David Adams? And I hope you realize Bevin maxed out on donations to Rand Paul.

Local candidates are great to support, but that doesn't mean we should ignore national candidates.

I live in Kentucky, and I plan on voting in the Primaries (which will be my first time voting). I will proudly cast my vote for Bevin and am working hard to convince my parents and classmates to vote for him. I get it that you don't want to vote for him but if its because "he can't win" then why, as others point out, did you vote for Gary Johnson?

Show us the positions Bevin takes that are the same as Santorum. With links.

One link he has to answer for.... his group that endorsed him is attacking Mitch over the Hemp Bill: http://madisonproject.com/2014/01/farm-bill-and-the-power-of-logrolling/

Not to mention his Santorum tone on Iran: http://wfpl.org/post/matt-bevin-doesnt-trust-iran-nuclear-talks-other-candidates-silent

Abortion: He goes a little more full boar on this issue and it will make Tyke and others stand and cheer. His putting this as a major issue he's willing to open about reminds me of the typical Social Con response.

He has ties to The Southern Theological Seminary which I have philosophical differences with and many of the leaders there were vocal for Santorum.

Do I need to bring up the article I first found and brought to Tyke and others attention before they went full fanboy? http://www.nhregister.com/general-n...-to-announce-initiative-to-keep-company-going

He's ignorant on history and basic laws. Hell he was beaten by Jesse Benton of all people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taWhN0dEKBU

Honestly, I've tuned him out because he started his campaign with talking about Mitch and not himself. That was a HUGE mistake. Any interview I've seen he has nothing but canned answers. Whoever is running his campaign is basically a step up from David Adams which isn't saying much.

EDIT: I forgot the other part. He donated to Greg Fischer and Wendy Caswell. Two people that it would be insane to donate to.

The same David Adams who worked against Massie and sent the smear job to the media about Hightower.

Also, Bevin maxed to Rand after the race was already won. His September donation was after all the polls showed Rand was going to win. I also notice he donated the same amount to Mitt Romney.

1. Even the Iranians basically admitted it was a wink and a nod.

2. They weren't attacking McConnell over hemp, they were attacking him over logrolling.

The other things you brought up are complete non issues.

I can definitely tell you are working for McConnell now, and it is really saddening. I wouldn't be surprised if you work directly under Benton, as you sound exactly like he does when he talks.

I don't think I ever said don't vote for him. I said don't waste your time campaigning and donating. Also, I won't vote for him. He's not a good candidate. Lastly, I voted Gary Johnson because I actually agreed with most of his positions. I find it hilarious people are offended someone would actually challenge Bevin who is not a liberty candidate.

You got me.

Jesse and I are bros and we do push up contests.

Just glad you follow that scumbag David Adams.
