Was just saying you weren't entirely copying the establishment talking points, they were also copying you. Though I disagree with the conclusions and think repeating them benefits the establishment, that part was aiming for levity... apologies that it came across wrong...
I shared the same concern. When analyzing the race and candidates, the two biggest drawbacks I saw were: 1) People unwisely dividing against Rand because of his early endorsement, and 2) The chance of replacing Mitch with a younger version of himself. But I came to the conclusion that 2 wasn't true, and would do my best to counteract 1. And so apparently did Bernie, Kentucky Kate, Take Back Kentucky, and the old liberty crew who attended the Rally for the Republic and others... all of whom are exceedingly cautious people and skeptical of politicians. And again the candidates comparisons are flawed - Guthrie or Barr would never dare run against McConnell it'd never even cross their minds! They'd meekly do whatever the establishment ordered. And they also won't even promise to require constitutional declarations of war, or oppose the NSA, PATRIOT Act, Syria war... while Bevin answers straight up what he believes, and has championed the liberty position on those and many other issues. Like Santorum, Guthrie and Barr just aren't even in the same ballpark, and as someone who has studied all those people with great detail, it's mind-boggling to hear.
So yes, the conclusions we've reached are different. I've concluded Bevin is sincere, close to liberty, and the real deal. And since we agree it's so important to remove Mitch, if Bevin IS the real deal, we've got to go all out. If he went Bentivolio on us, I'd drop him like a hot potato and work just as hard to unelect him if we had a better candidate. I wouldn't have bothered with all this effort or even refuting posts online if I saw any great possibility that he was a trojan horse. And this could seriously crack the establishment's power... This year Mitch, and in 2016 Guthrie, Barr, Whitfield and Rogers if they don't get wise and start voting the way we want them to. And that's NOT to overlook local candidates either. We've got great ones this year. Excitement over a higher office activates more people, it's not some evil force taking away from local candidates. Ron Paul's runs for president activated millions... though some could always wish his $35 million went to local candidates instead, it simply would never have been donated if he didn't run.
