Forget the CROWD. Seriously...

"You have to understand, these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the New West. You know... morons!"

It absolutely amazes me that the so called "Christian right" that bases their religion off of the teaching of Jesus would boo the golden rule, which is what Jesus taught! I try to bring that up when I talk to my hard core Christian peers. Ron Paul stands for what Jesus taught! Treat others how you would want to be treated. I'm not trying to generalize all Christians here but its seems pretty hypocritical of the South Carolina Christian right to not be on the side of Ron Paul since he stands for what Jesus taught. Christians that support war-mongering/torture/assassinations/indefinite imprisonments are not following the word of Jesus and are total hypocrites!... I'm Catholic myself and I live by the golden rule the best I can...

The crowd cheered at the end of his answer so who cares. It's like the Family Guy undecided voters video. lol

As a Christian to see a people in a state that claims to be "mostly Christian," I find it offensive that they would boo at the statement of the Golden Rule. What a shameless crowd of people. God doesn't want preemptive wars, he wants wars that are just. That means if you are attacked, then it is justifiable to defend your country. Going to war in another country because you want to be the ruler of the world is not a Godly war, nor is it a justifiable one.

Well, most voters don't even care about the positions of the candidates. What they care about the personalities and looks. So for the vast majority of voters, what Ron says or doesn't say doesn't really matter.

As an aside, I bet that Jon Stewart uses the golden rule booing in his segment on Wed.

You're right, they are "mostly Christian".

"I like Jesus, except on foreign policy". "Love thy neighbor? The golden rule? Weak on defense, he hates America!"

You're absolutely right. Tonight was a night where the average person would be scratching their heads and bewildered by why he was trying to say. When he is nailing it, he is hitting it out of the park. Unfortunately tonight wasn't one of those nights.

In my opinion...he had one of the most memorable moments of the night, or at the very least an awesome sound bite...

The rest was par for the course.

The first question was just lame.
The second question I was dancing around the room doing victory dances and yelling "Outta the park, baby!" and similar.
The third question (second foreign policy) I was beggin him to just get tot he point, he wandered all over the place, and he practically lost me, who loves the man and all he stands for. I did like that he got "the golden rule" in there, but by that time the crowd had turned on him. I think they discredited themselves by booing the golden rule, but that was the low point of the debate. I did think that Ron came back a bit on the remainder of the debate. He did pretty well on the race/drug war question. But there is no doubt that question number three made what could have been a huge victory performance a so-so performance. I don't think it was the end of the world, and I think Fox was the big loser. I hope Ron is a bit more on his game Thursday...a solid performance Thursday and people will forget this debate. And the truth is, tonight was not a disaster - it was a mixed bag.

The Big Loser Tonight Was the Republican Party!!! They are scared to death that the Ron Paul Supporters will not vote for the Republican Nominee if it is not Ron Paul.

Guess What ???? After tonight's performance by Romney, Gingrich, Santorum and Perry on foreign policy and how War Loving they really are, I cannot believe in my heart that any true Ron Paul Supporter would even contemplate supporting any of these Neo-Cons for President.

I believe that over 90% of the Ron Paul Supporters will leave the Republican Party in August if the Nominee is not Ron Paul.

The Republican Party really is the BIG LOSER tonight!!

The crowd at this debate has made me feel how hopeless the republican party can be. But then I understand that it was packed with people that are ardent supporters of the other candidates. After how vile and fucked up the crowd acted towards Ron, and cheered Santorum and Gingrich and Romney. It has strengthened my resolve to fuck over the other candidates and never vote for them ever. I will be for paul till my last breath. People we have a big job ahead of us. These people have been brainwashed their whole fuckin lives!

Reuters is reporting that the vast majority of the crowd in the Auditorium were from the Tea Party Convention that had been going in Myrtle Beach earlier in the day.

"Conservative Tea Party Members" - I guess they care more about war than about Liberty or the Constitution.

How do they choose to let in at these debates? Do they let people buy tickets? If they let us buy tickets then we should try to get more of our supporters in there!
How come people are so fuckin blind to Ron's logic? I mean come on think about what the man is saying! He's saying we should treat people like how we want to be treated. It's a simple fuckin concept dammit!

Voters are unable to comprehend for themselves and rely on applause and boos to form their opinions of candidates responses.

I just watched RP's debate highlights and don't understand what all the hubbub is about. I mean it wasn't his best performance and he stuttered a little here and there, but overall I think it was a net positive for us. Like other posters have commented, the booing of the golden rule will turn out to be a positive for us. Thx Faux News!
