I was just in Reno, Nevada going door-to-door, and several people said they were deciding between Gingrich and Paul. That might sound strange, but their thought process makes some sense. They don't like Santorum because he's too extreme Catholic, and they just don't like Romney. So it's just 2 people left.
So when you reach out to these traditional Republican voters, agree with them that the country is in trouble, and we need to work together to get Obama out of office.
However, Gingrich won't be able to do that because he can't get the Independents who are needed to win the general election. In fact in swing states, Gingrich is trailing Obama by 14 points. In those same states, Ron Paul is trailing only by 7 points. And if we focus on just Independent voters, Ron Paul is the only candidate who beats Obama in some national polls.
Again repeat that we need to nominate someone who can beat Obama, and Ron Paul will have a much better chance than Gingrich.
Close by asking the person to vote for Ron Paul so we can get rid of Obama and fix our economy.
