FISA Changes Pass The House:

Pity that Ron Paul did not vote.
Anyway, I feel sorry for you Americans.
99% of politicians are such a scam... Everywhere...

Thanks! I wish I could post the link to the roll call, but the server is being mean to me right now :(

Not only for you - it will raise an error if you embed any link in the message...
Let's try a link without a prefix clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll437.xml

Yup, it does not like the prefix ;)

Ha, ha!!! Thanks!! I can't believe I didn't think of doing that....:D

I think Ron was too busy puking his breakfast up after he heard it was going to pass so he couldn't vote.

I sent this message to my Congressman in NJ today, who voted in favor of H.R. 6304. If anyone likes it, feel free to send it on to your own representative - I've inserted some variable fields, so it can be adapted.

I was extremely disappointed to see your vote on June 20th in favor of H.R. 6304, approving the amendment to the FISA Act of 1978.

I believe that the passage of this bill effectively negates any Constitutional protections offered to U.S. citizens, and relegates our avenue of recourse (the courts) to an impotent procedural exercise.

This decision to permit the judicial process to be subjugated, (effectively by a statement that "everything is fine, because the President said so") is a dangerous lapse in our system of checks and balances, not to mention a serious affront to the personal privacies and liberties of the people of our country.

I would be very interested in hearing your justification for your vote. Perhaps an editorial letter to the (YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER) would be an appropriate way for you to address your constituency and explain your actions.

IMMUNITY for all Telecommunication Corporations/companies and business involved in spying on Americans....

IMAGE THAT... Way to Go CONGRESS!!!

Vote them all out!

Hey, everybody, just found this on the CFL blog:

Jesse Benton Says:
June 20th, 2008 at 4:17 pm

Danielek, Dr. Paul missed the vote today because he had a longstanding commitment to speak at the Montana GOP Convention today.

The funny thing is friends I have who think that the Democrats will do any better. This is proof they are all out to take our rights away. There's no hope with either of the two main parties at this point.

And unfortunately, I have to watch as the two of them rip my our country apart like a pack of wolves.
