Dianne Feinstein (D) 50.5%
Elizabeth Emken (R) 12.6%
Dan Hughes (R) 6.2%
Rick Williams (R) 3.4%
20 other candidates after that
Not bad for a 24-candidate race.
Ron Paul currently has 72,188 votes, good for 9.2% with 11.9% reporting. (Over 2x the 4% from 2008)
Rick Williams has 67,358 votes -- looks like pretty good pull from the Ron Paul crowd.
I mean that I thought it would be run as a runoff. Feinstein got 50.5%, but still has to run again in the general even tho all her opponents combined wouldnt beat her. Strange concept...

that is because they got rid of the GOP primary / dem primary. Honestly, NO ONE votes in the primaries. Having no chance to even challenge in the general election would not have passed
