Well,, as senseless as your idea that there are only 1600.

Every Cop, Firefighter Government agency,(Dog catchers, park rangers etc) and State Guards are FEMA. Virtually every Governmental Employee,,as well as the useful idiots that will volunteer. Every Jr,G-man wannabe will want to be an important official and have the power to push folks around.. Just look at TSA. and think infinitely worse.

Some states have Reserve Guard as well... that are already tied to Homeland Security.

So, I know someone who has been selected to become part of the new FEMA Corps. They graduated with a degree in Biology and plan to sit for the MCAT in August. After they sit, they wanted to do some volunteer work for about a year before medical school. This guy is a smart guy, great sense of humor, big heart and volunteers at hospitals and summer camps already. I don't see him as someone excited to see a disaster occur and have the opportunity to boss people around. I understand, it is often time people with good intentions who are put into situations to subject themselves to orders from evil people, but I am interested to see how his life goes over the next year. I may quiz him with some what-ifs.

With the level of stupidity of the large masses, I don't suppose they need many more people than 1600 to achieve some level of success. All they really have to do is build the pen large enough, and the sheep will come. One big stupid herd of sheep.

The hundreds of millions of hollow point rounds will be used for those that resist, as well as a comprehensive propaganda complex to pursuade the sheep that those resisting are the bad guys, but don't worry -we're the govt, and we're here to help.
