The homeless are pretty unpopular, esp with the conservative/ neocon /reich winger types. I see them all the time on various forums and talk radio joking about turning the "bums" into "soylent green", a local radio show host (Robert Pratt on 790 KFYO in Lubbock) encourages listeners to take care of them with some "cowboy justice", etc.

All this usually said by the same people who talk about the "sanctity of life" with regards to fetuses. However, if you are a "bum" or part of some other unpopular group, your life means nothing, and there are plenty of people -- some who claim to be "liberty lovers" -- who would cheer as you are being hauled off to the camps ...

Well they are Christian and you know how much Jesus hated poor people.

Where I live, the left-wing bleeding hearts capture the free roving creatures and mostly kill them, then they render the bodies for other uses. But some of these operations spend a little extra money and sterilize them and release them. For the most part, there is more rendering then sterilizing. A certain percentage do find people to take them in, if they are extra clean, civilized and kiss some ass.

I remember hearing about the reduced unemployment. However I also heard that was achieved by many given part-time jobs.

Yes. What I specifically mean is that "because we say so" will carry no veneer of reason beyond itself. Even today Theye most often qualify their command with legitimate sounding justifications. It is effective, but it is extra work with which I am certain Theye would rather dispense. The goal of every whipmaster is the same as that of a senior drill instructor: immediate, complete, and precise compliance without question. We are not quite there, yet.
