see if they really wanted to do everything possible to save lives on the roads, then the counties would pass a no drinking policy at restaurants for starters. go right to one of the main sources right? but wait!!! thats lost tax revenue....so lets just lower the limit to make everyone drunk at .05 and get MORE money from them!!!
Well this argument only gets weaker, such a change would not even serve to make a dent in preventing future death:
“Lowering the rate to 0.05 would save about 500 to 800 lives annually, the safety board said.”

my parents grew up in the age of 18+ alcohol and also you could drink and drive - ohh how far we've come.... how did they even make it?!

They were crazy back then! You probably rode skateboards and bicycles without a helmet too.
Children should wear helmets 24x7. With full face guards. And knee and elbow pads. CPS will need a bigger budget. And SWAT teams. And APCs. And drones to ensure compliance.
Don't forget that sidewalks must be covered with weather proof tatami mats. They were crazy back then! You probably rode skateboards and bicycles without a helmet too.

Why take half measures? Zero tolerance. One beer might lead to another you know? One beer might free up some inhibitions... best to just ban alcohol altogether. If you are only having a glass or two then it's best for all of society if we ban it. After all your only giving up a glass or two or three or four....... BY ALL MEANS drink as much as you want. Just don't get behind the wheel of a car. With even one! Mandatory ignition switches all around.
...Or perhaps even begin a bit of inner-reflection to determine why it is that our society has become so miserably drug, alcohol, and medication dependent to begin with. Could it be that people lack individual meaning and purpose, due to every level of government intervening and subjugating the average individual to the point of their own determent? Affecting, virtual impotence and degradation, that no matter how hard they work they only fall further behind?
Because one extreme or the other isn't good. A .08 limit is reasonable. If you plan on going to a party and getting drunk or going to a bar and getting drunk, get a designated driver.
Why are you in favor of kittens and children being murdered by drunk drivers?

More people die in slips, trips and falls around the home, than do from drunk drivers, every year.
I demand immediate action and a Zero Tolerance policy be put in place.
Any home that is financed through any federal loan program or guarantee of "private" loan, must comply with the following, no later than 1 Jan 1015.
All persons in the home will wear an approved DOT helmet and face-shield during all waking hours.
All children under 18 will wear an approved DOT helmet, face-shield and body padding during all waking hours.
All people over 65 will wear all of the above, and in addition, will not climb any stair or enter any tub or shower enclosure without wearing an approved and properly secured fall restraint harness.
All homes subject to the above, will have no less than 5 (five) day/night capable video monitors mounted in strategic locations around the home to ensure compliance with this regulation.
Behind this measure 100%. Let's just do this already.

sounds like a campaign platform. when is your election?
Whenever I feel like it I suppose.
I'd win in just about any district in the country anymore, I'll bet, with that platform.
