Feb. 1: Fundraising Projections?

I haven't seen a thread dedicated to how much everyone thinks RP will get on Feb 1.

I'm going to be hoping for 2 million, realistically. The MLK money bomb fell short in lots of people's opinions, I think.

Maybe this debate will help? Hurt?

I'd love some input (preferably based on facts) on what we can be expecting.

I'm just a college student with pretty empty pockets but I'm donating my 51 bucks!

Go Ron Paul!

I think it'll be around 2.4 million this time. A little better than the last one. We're rallying the troops!

Also, do you think we'll reach the 8.4 million by Feb. 5?

You'd think that a fundraising request straight from the campaign would be obeyed lol.

this is how I look at it

we have around 5 days to raise around 4 million dollars SO

lets say we an kick out 3 million for feb 1st, we would only need to try and get another 1.4 million in the next 4 days AFTER the money bomb around 350k a day. I think we can get to the 8.4 million goal by the 5th no problem when looking at it this way.

Now me personally I hope we can get to the 9 million dollar goal instead of the 8.4 that he is asking for..

We can do that by doing the following

Donating + get 10 BRAND NEW DONATORS to join you on FEB 1ST!!!!!

Take the next day to locate those 10 people who will donate with you and then AFTER the money bomb day you can try and find 10 more people to donate on feb 2nd through feb 5th

I have been trying to spread this one, but I think realistically 1 million will be around what we hit. I pray I am way to low, but we have half the pledges of the MLK money bomb and few videos. The only plus side I see is the liberty08 pledges total nearly 200k.

MLK had alomst 8k pledges, this one has around 3k so far. I'm thinking we get about 1-1.2 Mil but i hope i am wrong and we can get atleast 2 Mil. We realistically only had a week to promote this one.

I forgot to add, we have been much much more proactive in talking to the meetups. Perhaps that will be a boost.

If you are a member of a Ron Paul meetup group, send an Email through the mailing list to everyone in the group! Remind them we have a big day tomorrow. I'm sending out a reminder now.

Liberty Tax 08 website shows $140,000+ with 282 pledges! Not a lot of individual donors, admittedly, but this should get the ball rolling. I really hope we can do better than the MLK moneybomb.

Broader base of donors

Remember, the Feb. 1 money bombs are a reponse to a direct fundraising request from headquarters to raise $8.4 million by Feb. 5. This time around, contributions will come from many donors who don't read Ron Paul Forums or any of the other Ron Paul Web sites.

This is true. I hope my low estimate is proved wrong. It would make my day to be extremely wrong on that guess.

I really don't know how well we will do.

Lets get as much in in the first hour as we can so the momentum gets going.

Absolutely will donate Feb 1

I also think a demographic money bomb may be an advantage to this campaign. This is not an "internet groupie" website. Many people, many reasons to support him, many differences in all of us, and I think the media would run with a money bomb that shows the differences in all of us. It would not matter how much you contributed, but your voice would be heard, in your demographic.

For me, I'm tired of the smirking, the ridicule, will not give up though, and will contribute, but this may give grassroots supporters an opportunity to show who we are really made up of and stop "jokes".

We are giving the media every opportunity to fix the prejudice, hopefully something like this will put to rest who and what the grassroots of this country consist of. Young, middle, elderly, no matter... it's not Ron Paul as much as his message.

I think alot of donors aren't signing up on the site, and most know tomorrow is the big money bomb, but alot don't know which website to sign up at.

I project around 4 Million. It's going to be much bigger than the last money bomb.

I'm in that category and I suspect many others are too. I just don't do sign-ups for money bombs.
