Father sentenced to life in prison for 'murder' after daughter dies following MMR vaccine

Is Angelatc getting paid by big pharma to defend them? People know that vaccines hurt kids. This isn't facebook where a handful of bully tricks can sway some of the random people watching. Big pharma would kill you if it made them money. The entire medical system is wrecked and has been wrecked for a long time. And if the CEOs of all the big pharma cos heads were on pikes it would be a great day for America.

That's why humans are living longer than ever, right? And why we're eradicating diseases (via vaccination)? And why inoperable diseases of the last decade are now routinely treated?

This is getting to paranoid for me.

You have every right not to vaccinate your kids. You also have every right to be a moron. The two are related.

Angelatc, my wife and I have chosen not to vaccinate our boy. When asked why, we explain our position rationally, and expect the asker to make up his own mind.

Actually, it is not possible for you to explain the decision rationally, unless there's a history of vaccine reactions in your family.

You have every right not to vaccinate your kids. You also have every right to be a moron. The two are related.

And that is the absolute truth.

Note that they have once again neglected to mention that the original story is entirely undocumented. Their entire position is so invalid they literally have to fabricate stories.

That would explain at least explain it, but Occam's Razor is still the best answer. The people who believe that vaccines are dangerous but diseases aren't are simply idiots.

Melanie’s Marvelous Measles: Is the provaccine backlash rational or hysterical?

Suzanne Humphries, MD

There is a new children’s book available that teaches children that they don’t have to fear childhood illnesses. It is entitled “Melanie’s Marvelous Measles” and can be purchased HERE

Mass hysteria has broken out among the provaccine with ideations of banning the book due to its perceived danger. See article HERE

So what are the arguments in favor of shedding the mass fear that has been ingrained since the 1960s when the vaccines became available, prior to which measles was an acceptable childhood illness? In the developed world, mortality was reduced over 98% before the vaccine came along and before antibiotics were available. In England and in the United States, the chance of dying from measles had dropped to 1-2% by the 1930s.[1]

Immunology textbooks[2] point out that children who can’t make antibodies, usually get through measles as well as children who can, because it’s the innate or cellular immune system that is the key for measles (or any first time disease for that matter) not the humoral or the antibody system.

One of the most disconcerting discoveries in clinical medicine was the finding that children with congenital agammaglobulinaemia, who could make no antibody and had only insignificant traces of immunoglobulin in circulation, contracted measles in normal fashion, showed the usual sequence of symptoms and signs, and were subsequently immune. No measles anti-body was detectable in their serum (the water part of blood minus clotting factors and cells).[3]

The cellular immune system is dependent on good nutrition for optimal functioning. Bad nutrition comes in two forms: Plenty of food but all empty calories or not enough food of any calories at all. In the United States, studies have found that vitamin A deficiency is not just a thing of the past, but that even children with normal diets were vitamin-deficient upon measles infection. This 1992 study in California children showed that 50% of hospitalized measles cases had vitamin A deficiency. But there was also vitamin A deficiency in 30% of the sick controls who did not have measles. None of the uninfected controls showed significant deficiency.

We studied 20 children with measles in Long Beach, Calif., and found that 50% were vitamin A deficient. This frequency among presumably well nourished American children supports evaluation of vitamin A status as a part of acute management of measles in the United States.[4]

So we could say that any child that lands up in a hospital in USA, or any developed country is suffering because their parents need educating about proper nutrition, or because their doctor is totally clueless about the nearly 80 years of proven benefit of vitamin A supplementation in acute measles.

Take note that measles vaccines also deplete vitamin A.

Previous studies have shown excess mortality and immune abnormalities among girls immunized with high titer measles vaccine 2 to 4 years after immunization. . . our results showed that serum vitamin A concentrations were de-pressed after measles vaccination, irrespective of whether it was the monvalent or combined measles vaccine. [5]

In parts of Africa, measles rampages precisely because there is no nutrition worth talking about. Are vaccines the answer?

And, measles infections can be beneficial. Dr. Peter Aaby et al. and his team found that children who survived natural measles had a much higher survival rate from all other infectious causes than other children. Children who had had the measles vaccine, had a lower rate of survival and the worst group in terms of overall survival from infections, was the group which had neither measles vaccines nor measles disease. That’s published research.[6] Their compromise conclusion was that it would be necessary to use the measles vaccine forever, because of the value of the vaccine in protecting against all cause mortality in the absence of actual infection.

Obviously, no research has been done in the developed world to see if there is a parallel here. Indeed, the ONLY reason that discovery was made in developing countries was because the high titer Edmonston measles vaccines (subsequently abandoned) resulted in excess all cause mortality, and they wanted to find out why. Had not that disaster occurred, they might never have discovered that measles infection actually reduced all cause mortality in the real world and that it’s something worth having.

Therefore it could be said that measles does something worthwhile.

Now, back to the book under attack.

“Here’s how to turn a children’s book into a hysterical controversy. Just declare any positive discussion of the benefits of childhood illness to be so evil that censorship is the only possible response. As a librarian, I’m shocked to find so-called “skeptics” advocating book banning. Why do they think this book has to be banned? Because the book in question tells the story of a little girl experiencing a mild case of measles. Here is an excellent review by PhD Immunologist, Dr. Tetyana Obukhanych, which gives a carefully referenced overview of measles and backs up Melanie’s Marvelous Measles with the scientific facts.”

Speaking of authors, did you guys know that Roald Dahl's daughter had the measles? Here's what he wrote in his diary in 1962:

"Got to hospital." "Walked in. Two doctors advanced on me from waiting room. How is she?"

"I'm afraid it's too late."

Do you think his daughter would enjoy Humphrie's book? Maybe he could have read it to her at the gravesite!

Vaccination

After my experiences in the hospital system and thoroughly examining both sides of the vaccination debate, I stand by the conviction that vaccines can be an insult to life and health.

The history of vaccination is more complicated than most people understand. The anti-vaccine movement is hundreds of years old.

It heated up in the 1800s, when parents in the UK became fed up with watching their completely healthy infants and children die shortly after the smallpox vaccinations or get sick from smallpox anyway. Parents and doctors who refused smallpox vaccines, risked losing their homes, their furniture and their livelihoods if Judges found against them.

The smallpox vaccines were made from pus scraped off of diseased cows’ belly sores, contaminated with all sorts of disease matter. The smallpox vaccine history is not what you think it is, if you think vaccines wiped out smallpox.

Doctors and those administering vaccines are supposed to obtain “informed consent” before vaccinating. Informed consent is not possible because parents are not given all the information they would require in order to understand the most important issues.

There are many problems with the science that underpins vaccine information.

There is a paucity of studies comparing never vaccinated children, with partially or fully vaccinated children. In terms of safety studies, a major issue is that most vaccine studies use another vaccine as the control placebo, or use the background substance of the vaccine. There is only one recent study (Cowling) where a true saline placebo was used, rather than another vaccine or the carrier fluid containing everything except the main antigen.

See this this article as an example of how false placebos are regularly used. Needless to say, giving untested vaccines which can often be unknowingly contaminated, and with unproven-effectiveness vaccination is a “medical experiment”, and in my opinion, violates the core principles of the Nuremberg Code (informed and unambiguous consent). Most vaccines have never undergone carcinogenicity testing for example, and likewise are rarely studied in pregnant women, which results in people taking vaccines, either by a proclaimed “emergency”; by a “public health” order from the WHO; or by threat of loss of rights over one’s children or of imprisonment; or by threat of being abandoned by the medical professionals supposedly providing care.

“Informed consent” is devoid of all meaning when people are tricked into taking vaccines by the use of misleading or frightening “information.”

I have found in my own practice, my own career and everywhere else, that the more people study vaccination in-depth, the less they are inclined to vaccinate, and the more comfortable they are not vaccinating.

Great debate angelatc as always. ;)

Did you even graduate high school?

What's your agenda, DonnaY? It's obvious you're not here to win elections. Why do you hang around a board, posting your lies?

You don't understand even basic science, you don't know a real debate looks like .... so did you actually even graduate from high school?

If they do, then why would they post stuff like the OP?

People who have actual fact-based reasons to oppose vaccines should be the loudest voices repudiating this kind of thing.

If anything, big Pharma might be paying Natural News and Donnay.

Why would they post? Well, why do people post yet another news story about cops shooting dogs? People post things here that happen, that they don't like, and maybe, by telling people, they'll at some time be able to help change things for the better. Many of the discussions here are "here's another terrible thing that is happening, similar to the other terrible things that are happening."

Why aren't these people simply suing the vaccine manufacturers? Oh, wait, does the Fed Gov give them a get out of jail free card or something? Yet another instance of regulatory capture.

We know that Fed Gov pays people to play World of Warcraft and spy on the people playing the games. And there are so many Fed Gov employees on these games, people lying about who are they are, that Fed Gov liars are trying to trick and trap other Fed Gov liars. They have to have meetings so that they don't trip over each other.

We know that vaccines are harmful. We know that Big Pharma makes a lot of money from those vaccines. And we know that they get the government to approve unsafe or unnecessary vaccines, and they give money to the government to do that. And that certain people work for both the Govt and Big Pharma. They go back and forth between the 2.

Remember Gardasil Rick Perry?

The hoax of modern medicine and its toxic medications
The hoax of modern medicine and its toxic medications

When a baby is born in Australia or any other so called developed country, orthodox medicine immediately takes over its life and wellbeing: the very birth is medicalised with inductions (whether there is any medical need for it or not), painkillers and immediate injections of vitamin K and hepatits B vaccine. Mothers do not even ask what is in that drip (it is an overload of a hormone: oxytocin) and in that vitamin K injection; they do not realise that it is the wrong vitamin K, that there are toxic preservatives in the injection and that the babies have developed the so-called haemorrhagic disease of the newborn despite being given vitamin K. They don’t realise that the painkiller pethidine is morphine and that the newborn baby may get the full blast of it while being born; not the most auspicious start in life. Some even linked the addictions of very young children to that initial bolus of morphine. The mothers don’t realise that an overload of the hormone oxytocin may (and does) cause brain and retinal haemorrhages and that before the baby would recover, it is given hepatitis b vaccine injection which on its own causes brain and retinal haemorrhages. The vicious circle may continue if the baby is deemed to have an infection and is administered powerful antibiotics intravenously; many babies develop serious reactions to all this and die within about 3-4 weeks of being born. If they survive the initial assault of these toxic substances, then they may develop reactions to the second round at two months: injections of several other vaccines such as DPT (diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type B, the second hepatitis B, and meningococcal and Pneumococcal vaccines, in each thigh. The babies are vaccinated even after they developed symptoms of suppressed immune system such as the runny nose and ear infections after the first toxic assault at birth. Many babies develop whooping cough from the vaccine. I suspect that many babies who developed convulsions after these vaccinations, may have actually contracted tetanus, from the triple (DPRT) vaccine.

The next assault that follows is administration of antibiotics. Not just one, usually two, of the second and third generation of the so-called broad spectrum antibiotics. Many babies then react by developing subdural and retinal haemorrhages or re-bleeds if they had the initial bleeds caused by oxytocin and the first hepatitis B vaccine injection. Just after I published the first edition of my book “Vaccination” in late 1993, I was interviewed on a live radio show about it; a medical doctor phoned-in and indignantly criticised me for writing that first it was going to be just babies of ethnic mothers and then suddenly all mothers somehow became infected with hepatitis B disease and their babies are going to be given this vaccine. How prophetic my words were! True, the vaccine was initially developed for high-risk groups of adults (such as prostitutes and practicing homosexuals), but because they rejected it or were hard to be forced to take it, the vaccinators targeted the babies because they were accessible. Yes, every time the babies are taken to the well-baby clinics, they become accessible to the deadly ministrations of the medical system. In their misguided effort to do the best for their babies, and due to a widely spread ignorance and gullibility, mothers easily succumb to the pressure from the pro-vaccinators. People forget only too easily the age-old knowledge and experience that infectious diseases are actually beneficial for children because they are the ones that prime and mature the immune system and represent developmental milestones.

We live in the age of information and communication; the knowledge is at everybody’s fingertips, literally. However, people mostly do not really take the advantage of the modern technology. Most people think that they know things while they don’t. Worse still, they know the wrong things. They listen or access the propaganda of those who are developing, producing, distributing and administering such deadly products as vaccines. I lived for twenty years under a communist regime in former Czechoslovakia; even though we were bombarded with the official government’s propaganda, we knew that it was full of lies. We saw that in real life, despite the government’s ravings about the quality of life under communism, the opposite was true. We were bringing up our children to see the truth and recognise the lies without necessarily showing it (it was dangerous to speak the truth). I was extremely worried when we emigrated how easily a dictatorship could develop in the western countries simply because people generally believed their politicians or those who were selling their products. People did not check the facts, they simply believed the words. Many still do. That’s why they would vote for thoroughly corrupt people who enter politics for their own agendas. There is a saying that buck stops with someone; however, there is another side to this proverb, namely that the buck starts with someone. The buck starts with the voters, constituents, patients and citizens who, I may say sadly, are often as ignorant and misguided, or more so than people were in the Middle Ages. People these days think that they know things or the truth, while they are just dangerously ignorant and, worse still, knowing the wrong things and not knowing the true facts and the truth. The same applies to other matters such as the health of their own and their families: the buck starts with parents making the correct or incorrect decisions based on either real knowledge and the right information or lies and propaganda and the hollow assurances of those who make and administer vaccines, that they are safe and effective.

Vaccine are neither safe nor effective in preventing any disease; they cause diseases; they are the single biggest cause of infant deaths. The lies about this useless, dangerous medieval medical procedure reached monstrous proportions with the accusations of innocent parents and other carers (nannies) effectively causing the vaccine reactions.

No he meant why would she post a story that can't be verified in any sense of the word, not OMG! IT COULD ALL BE A CONSPIRACY!!!!

angelatc you remind me of the sign language expert at Mandella's memorial.

angelatc you remind me of the sign language expert at Mandella's memorial.

You spelled "Mandela" wrong.

So did you even graduate from high school? At this point I'm guessing you didn't, and you're trying to decide whether you should lie about it to give yourself a shred of credibility. Eh, don't bother.

It's always been painfully obvious you didn't get "none of that fancy education stuff" before you wandered out into the world. You've never participated in a moderated debate or attended a logic class. it's really obvious. Can't believe it took me so long to figure it out.

Thats why you adhere to conspiracies, false prophets and fake science - the truth really is just too hard for you to comprehend.

False Allegations of Child Abuse

Shaken Baby Syndrome

"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." ~ John F. Kennedy, 35th president of US 1961-1963 (1917 - 1963)

The Shaky Science of Shaken Baby Syndrome
Prosecuters have charged parents and caretakers with shaking infants to death. But how valid is that diagnosis, and how reliable is the evidence behind it?

Over the last 30 years, shaken-baby syndrome has come to be considered one of the most heinous forms of child abuse. Thousands nationwide have been prosecuted for harming or killing small children in this way. The scales of justice in these cases often tip on the word of doctors who say they can discern that intentional shaking took place by the nature of the injuries suffered by the young victims. Many physicians and prosecutors remain confident in those judgments, but some critics say those doctors can be wrong. They claim innocent people have been sent to prison. Shaken baby science doubts grow.

After 11-month-old Melissa Mathes died in her care, Mary Weaver of Marshalltown, Iowa was charged with murdering the baby by shaking her. She was tried, convicted, her conviction reversed and then she was acquitted at retrial, all in a relatively short time. The case against Mary is a good example of false or misleading forensic evidence, perjury or false accusation. 20 years later, Mary's case is still garnering national attention.

When San Francisco prosecutors dismissed charges against Kristian Aspelin in early December, 2012, it became just the latest case to raise questions about how shaken baby syndrome is diagnosed. Aspelin, who was accused of causing the death of his infant son, had one thing in his favor: He had enough money to pay for medical experts who cast doubt on the prosecution's theory. Dismissed case raises questions about shaken baby diagnosis.

In 2002, Drayton Witt of Maricopa County, Arizona, was found guilty of shaking his infant son to death. In the intervening 12 years, doctors have learned that ongoing medical problems like Steven’s can account for the retinal and subdural bleeding they used to assume was caused by shaking, or by shaking and blows to the head. More importantly, the Medical Examiner who testified against him changed his mind. The Arizona Court of Appeals has tossed Drayton's conviction, and barred the state from retrying him. It has been a long road home.

In 1999, Pamela Jacobazzi, a Bartlett, IL day care provider, was convicted of killing 10-month-old Matthew Czapski after the child lapsed into a coma while in her care and later died. She was sentenced to 32 years in prison for "shaking" the infant. Matthew's pediatric records, however, show he had sickle cell trait and external hydrocephalus, factors not considered by the state's expert -- factors which could cause the child's death in precisely the manner it occurred. Time for the state to admit its error.

In yet another case that should never have been charged, Michael Hansen of Alexandria, MN, convicted of killing his infant daughter in 2004, has won a new trial. He was released on bail into the arms of his loved ones, telling the media, "I just want to be with my family."

UPDATE: September 16, 2011 -- The prosecutor has dropped all charges against Mr. Hansen. He is a free man.

Related: Ramsey County, MN is investigating the work of Dr. Michael McGee, who has served as the county's chief medical examiner for 26 years, after a Douglas County judge found he gave false testimony in a murder trial. McGee's testimony helped secure the conviction of Michael Hansen for the murder of his infant daughter in 2004. Douglas County Judge Peter Irvine found in July that McGee gave false testimony about infant skull fractures and about an accident that occurred six days before the baby died. Or was Dr. McGee just doing what was expected of him?

It took a jury only 2 hours to acquit former daycare provider Deborah Parlock, of Chesterton, Indiana, of shaking a 6-month-old child in her care and causing his death. The prosecutions experts, doctors with the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital, insisted that retinal bleeding meant the baby had been beaten, even though he had no bruises or fractures. (Yes, they get paid expert witness fees.) Fortunately, jurors are beginning to see through the lack of evidence that permeates SBS cases. A case that should never have been charged.

The quasi-diagnosis of Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) started in the UK, and became a cottage industry for prosecution experts there before leaping like a wildfire across the Atlantic to the U.S. When Dr. Waney-Squier, a prominent British neuropathologist, re-examined the criteria she had used as a prosecution expert and realized it was wrong, she became the target of vicious personal and professional attacks. And, as with the SBS "diagnosis" itself, Scotland Yard has carried the fight to the US. Colin Welsh, lead investigator at Scotland Yard’s child abuse investigation command, told a US conference on SBS that defense experts should be banned from criminal and family court trials, because they confuse jurors and judges. Meanwhile, Dr. Waney-Squier warns that at least half of all parents tried over shaken baby syndrome have been wrongly convicted.

Quentin Louis of Athens, Wisconsin, who has been jailed for nearly six years, is one step closer to having a second chance to prove he didn't shake his infant daughter to death in 2005. A local judge granted him a new trial in 2009 because the state's forensic pathologist changed his mind about the cause of the baby's injuries, but the state appealed and it took another two years for this decision, from the state court of appeals. Quick to convict, slow to clear.

From the New York Times - Emily Bazelon examines the fierce disagreement and shift in mainstream medical thinking regarding Shaken Baby Syndrome. SBS Faces New Questions in Court.

Shirley Ree Smith of Van Nuys, CA spent 10 years behind bars for the death of her grandson before her conviction was overturned. Now she waits on skid row as the courts sort out whether a jury's verdict — even if wrong — must prevail. A pawn in a legal chess match.
