Hitler was no free-marketer. Like FDR, he created most of those jobs with government works programs. Those included working in factories that built his war machine, government housing programs, and road projects. In fact I've even heard Hitler described as the German version of FDR.

Personally, I think there is a better way.

Democracy as we know it today isn't true democracy...free markets aren't free, people aren't free. But I don't think we should in ANY way look to Hitler's Germany as some kind of role model for a perfect society. Remember that the very first people he stripped of rights and oppressed were the Germans, with the Enabling Act of 1933.

I can't find enough concrete evidense to say there is really much here. While the Freedom party has a lot of membership it looks like a small minority that actually hold certain views. I'm not sure if this accuratly displays the leadership. It may but I'm not Austrian and the group referenced in this article that desire a return to nazism seems rather tiny.

Small-timers, but I'm glad they're there showing that people in the UK don't want to become apart of the united states of Europe. In relation to the other parties mentioned in this thread though? I don't think they're far-right and I don't think they're raging about immigration, their main gripe is the European Union itself as far as I know - that diverges into different paths itself, such as those of the UKIP who want the UK to remain its own sovereign entity for some of the right reasons, such as no one in continental Europe will be able to run Britain better than British people can, then there's people who claim to want to the UK to remain sovereign of itself but who have an anti-immigration agenda attached to this (anti-legal and illegal immigration), then there's people who are opposed to fully joining the EU not because it's wrong but because they think Britain won't be calling the shots - and they'd be happy with something like the EU if Britain was the dominant force in it.

But as I said, for the UKIP itself, I don't think they're comparable to the far-right groups mentioned, though undeniably they attract people with that sort of agenda. Ultimately though the UKIP is just small-time, almost a novelty.

And as for the replies by max in this thread...I wondered why he was on my ignore list before I read his replies, and now I remember why he is on my ignore list Absurd man.
