Establishment in Maine setting up NEW caucuses in smaller towns on NO NOTICE for delegates

Why RP wouldn't go on TV and say that the establishment is changing rules to prevent him from winning?

Need hard evidence it is happening.
Need hard evidence it is happening specifically to harm him.
The establishment could just say "There was a lot of enthusiasm, so we added them."
Then he would just sound like a whiner.

I'd like to know the name of the official. That will lend credibility to this story. The fact that two caucuses were added is circumstantial, however, as those of us familiar with the law know, circumstantial evidence is enough to prove guilt.

But presumably we have a witness? Who would stand up with Ron Paul on TV?
Also, that would be a great exposure.
I mean, I am afraid sometimes the campaign underestimate that there are other issues people are concerned about, not just Fed and wars.

geez..c'mon people. When out and about like the OP, you really have to get names. ....'hi, i'm bob smith, whats your name?...basic stuff here.....sigh..

Those who aren't involved as the OP's brother obviously is, are the ones who wail about 'no vote fraud', 'you're conspiracy nuts', 'makes us look like sore losers' and 'I need hard evidence'.

Funny shit, that.

The 1st meeting you attend as a delegate, you'll see the old guard and how they have operated with a free hand for decades, hidden in plain sight.

As soon as they feel the least bit threatened in that regard, and especially if they see you have a majority or even a possible majority, they'll howl like the witch after Dorothy splashed the bucket of water on her. Then, watch the machinations begin. Rules changes with no prior warning, violations of procedure (yes, knowing Roberts Rules Of Order is a MUST), changes in delegate elections to state and national, vote count fraud and worse.

In the '08 cycle, at my state convention, I met and spoke with Libby Dole, Mike Huckabee, my state AG and state gubernatorial hopeful from my county... first. It was they who introduced me to my county chair and her gaggle. They (much unlike the many conspiracy squashers on this forum) not only didn't deny it happens, they explained why and how it happens.

To those who live in Wonderland on these issues, I used to feel sympathy to your ignorance, but these days it's just plain intolerable BS. Get out there, become a delegate, grab up RROO and READ IT, go straight to the top and work your way down. Matter. Less BS and more informed action.

By the time you get your taped conversation and hold a public trial for 7000 pages in this forum to vet the recording, the election will be over.

William F. Buckley, Milton Friedman, Ayn Rand, Thomas Sowell, Pat Robertson, and Grover Norquist have all made comments about ending the War on Drugs. Why don't conservatives hate them?

adding a caucus on two day notice is outrageous. How can they expect the word to get out to people in the community on time?

The GOP establishment isn't concerned about the war on drugs because of drugs being dangerous. It's the money/power for the GOP establishment that comes with the drugs being illegal that's being threatened.

I've order "The Guerilla Guide to Roberts Rules" off Amazon.. Its costed $.01 + 3.99 shipping. 4 Bucks. I am going to learn and study this thing then share and make cheat sheets ib a handy 8x4 index card for everyone in my Meetup group. We're going to be very well versed. Our county will have 111 delegate spots so it will be a very large caucus. We're looking into hiring a professional parlimentarian to sit in during the caucus so we can do a motion of information at any point and ask the parlimentarian what is going on, what agenda establishment GOP are proposing or trying to stealth through using the RRoO procedures, and what we can do to prevent it during the caucus.

Yep, that's kind of how things work in the trenches. It's not a conspiracy - it's just flat out in the open most of the time. Last cycle at the Texas state convention in Houston, they just cut off the mic when a RP supporter was trying to make a point in front of the entire group. It worked and that point was never made. Too bad politics is such a dirty business.

What is the notice requirement? I'm just glancing at this so might not be looking in the right or only place but I'm seeing:'

Public notice of said meeting must be made as required by state law.
http://www.mainegop.com/about-2/rules-and-by-laws/

What does the state law say about notice? I've rarely seen a notice requirement that was less than 3 days, but maybe it is allowed to be less if it is the same day as a statewide caucus.

I also see the municipality caucus can only be 'official' once recognized by the head of the state GOP, so what, if we did the same thing and signed municipalities up they could just say 'we are only going to recognize these over here' because we prefer their candidate? Or they 'see how the vote goes' and then decide whether to count it? What a parody of representation....

They don't. And that's the point.

If nobody turns out and they send just a few establishment cronies, they can vote one of their own in as Delegate Chair. With that position, they're in control. They win.

This is what we're up against up here.

---Why would he not ask you if you were a Ron Paul supporter first?
---Why would he stare at the ground for an entire minute after he saw your car with bumper stickers? That seems odd
---How did he randomly look out the windows and right away see your brother car? I mean there must be dozens of cars there.

2 things are happening here:

1. The guy was fucking with your brother or trying to spread disinfo to get you all worried about this. If that was the case, it worked!

Or

2. Your brother is lying to you bro

RP should complain BEFORE it's over for four reasons.

1. Prevention. Some people may be hesitant to join the conspiracy if there's a chance it'll become known.
2. Credibility. The complaining afterwords will be dismissed as whining. Also, if there's is a statistical difference in results between established caucus sites and created last minutes sites, it'll add credibility to the complaint if the complaint was made pointing to this sites BEFORE.
3. Exposure.
4. Final and thee most important. It's time to turn around and face the establishment trickery.
Campaign - issue a call to arms. People will support you.
