Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44 billion

And all the Karens out there are turning their backs on Musk because Democracy Requires Censorship?

(yes, question mark because it is an illogical statement that Karens go for)

Even it it is Musk's intention (free speech), he will be so far removed from the day to day at his level that I suspect that the only free speech that will be allowed and celebrated will be only from those whom are within the elite club. But it will be celebrated and blasted as a free speech platform in the news media. Trump and other well known figures will be unbanned and/or allowed free speech. So the common man that does not use it or familiar with the platform will actually believe it is a free speech platform and that this was some sort of massive win for free speech.

I have my doubts free speech will be allowed by regular folks or anyone outside the beltway that is is not fully approved or owned by the club. It might be something like as censored as Trump's social media platform.

Musk is a gatekeeper. He's not buying Twitter, the banks that finance him are.... Blackrock, Vanguard, private elites...

they will take the Twitter PRIVATE instead of being a public co... then they will mine all the data for the beast.

Get off it unless you want to be profiled into a color-coded db. Encouraging freer speech is a honey trap.

Oh yes, they really want you to speak your mind --- but not for the reasons you would guess.

It will be a step in the right direction. I also think that if someone brought it to Elon's attention that Scott Ritter was banned as well as countless other journalists covering Ukraine, he would do something about it.

No doubt and there is some indication of that already in his tweet.

"and authenticating all humans".

In other words, no handles and proving who you are. At the bare minimum requiring a link to a valid cell phone number (not simply any DID) or worse drivers license or passport verification or full KYC.

And I see the usual Black Pillers are here to throw cold water on a decisive win.

I've been as critical of Musk as anybody has in the past, but this is a powerful win against our oppressors, and I'm not going to go down the rabbit hole of infinite conspiracies and 24D chess.

Sometimes people do the right thing after carefully considering everything.

What is this meme?

I've seen it a couple times now, and other than Musk's face in some sort fiery background, all my eye is drawn to is a really nice watercolor rendition of a mid fifties vintage Merritt or Ryobovich convertible sportsfisherman.
