Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44 billion

I wonder if the twitter bots will come back online.

He should make an offer on Facebook next. I'd bet that probably a third of its users aren't real.

I guess if you are the wealthiest person in the world, announcing your intentions to do anything, even when required by law, can be scrutinized as doing so with ulterior motives.

Some Think Elon’s Twitter Buyout Was A Cover For Liquidating Tesla Stock

But now he could lose $1 of that money in penalties for pulling out. I knew he wasn't going to buy twitter, the offer he made was utterly ridiculous, he made the offer with little preconditions and he even said money wasn't an issue, that he didn't mind losing money as long as he gave the people free speech.

The man is such a con man and I do not for the life of me understand why Libertarians like him.

LOL , I saw this coming from day one. Foolish to pay that kind of money for that

I doubt this is over. There's still a lot of drama mileage left on it, along with agenda goals I brought up earlier in the thread.

The quiet Tesla stock liquidation and associated Twitter pump-n-dump does make sense though.

Henry Blodget, founder and CEO of Insider, retweeted Wolfe, pointing out that Elon’s options were about to expire, “so he had to sell them. The Twitter bid did allow him to do that without his facing questions about why he was selling. And he sold at an excellent price!”

Why is that true? If he buys Twitter people aren't going to notice he sold tesla stock?

He can claim he terminated something but that doesn't mean it actually is terminated. I guess we'll see how this plays out in the courts. Either way, Twitter is probably going to be pretty terribly run. Elon wants to take away anonymity to Twitter by forcing that people provide ID.

I thought he lost all his marbles buying twitter... exposed them for fake accounts & anti-free speech...turned out he's a chess player

He claimed he was selling Tesla stock as part of raisinng the money to buy Twitter.

This sounds interesting in a few different ways.

fast track it before something damaging comes out against twitter, I'm guessing. Again interesting.
