Educating The Masses

Ron Paul supporters know that the economy is in critical condition. The general public, well many people are aware things aren't perfect, but are not aware of how the economy is being mismanaged, how rate cuts are not a solution etc. etc. The best way in my opinion to have someone hear you out on an issue is to target it. So to be most effective I propose to hand out information on the economy on public sidewalks outside banks. People walking into banks already have money on their mind.

This same philosophy can be applied to other issues, such as taxes, by handing out information on the IRS, or on the Federal Income Tax, how if we go back to the spending of just a decade ago we can do without the income tax. Information on this issue can be handed out near H&R Blocks. Even if they don't go in to H&R Block, when people see that sign "taxes" is the immediate reaction.

I'd like to keep track of how many people are interested or dedicated to the issue, so beyond discussion here, I've created the site Economy Truth .com where you can pledge to hand out information near banks and H&R Blocks (Or somewhere else if you have a better spot).

If we can target the people with the right issues, they will be more open to Dr. Paul's message.

I'll be adding fliers and more information to the site as I get the chance. I'm juggling projects with my actual job. If anyone wants to make fliers feel free to contact me and I can host them there.

I like the bank idea. I was going to hand out literature and homemade copies of Freedom to Fascism with the word EVIDENCE written on the DVD's. I was going to do it at post offices and all the other designated drop off points on April 15th.

There are things you can do in your everyday life subtle things that will get the message out. When I'm asked to provide "cash" for something I tell the person I have X number of Federal Reserve Notes. When asked if I have cash I often let that person know I rarely carry Federal Reserve Notes on me.

Another thing I do often is walk up to people and ask them if they can let me know who owns them. This surprises them. Most of the time they say they own themselves. I say oh I thought that then I forgot to file my tax return 1 year. One of my relatives thought they owned their property, but they didn't have the money to pay their taxes 1 year and well they don't own it anymore. I was just wondering, not everyone is a US citizen I tell them, I remember everyday I'm owned by the United States Government and I'll never forget it now, and I smile and act very happy when I say this diatribe.

i believe the march (if there is a high turnout) could be really beneficial in the long run.

building momentum quietly is effective but i think it will be a slow process.

lets say for instance u have 100,000 + for a rally. the energy would be really amazing and who knows what would happen from there.

Many might remain ignorant. Though in my experience, I have turned a few either neutral or ignorant people into Ron Paul supporters. I can't say that I have single handed amassed an army of support, but there are people who will listen. And the odds are increased when you can talk to someone about an issue that's already on their mind.

And nobody will wake up if we do nothing.

I agree, but they will be very interested when the shit hits the fan. Things are not that bad right now, but when they are really impacted by economic storms, they will want to know who is to blame and who can fix it. Knowing why is for the "lucky" few.
