Eating Chicken on the Bone Makes Kids More Aggressive, Study Shows

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm really seriously considering becoming a vegan. Maybe not completely at first, but after cutting a lot of meat and dairy out of my diet, I already feel like a new person and it's amazing!

I actually like a lot of the vegetarian recipes because I've never been a real big meat lover, other than hot wings---that's a weakness I think I can overcome too. :D

I've known about 2-1 woman vegetarians to men if not 3-1 in my lifetime...

Listen to your body!

Sage advice.

speaking of sage; why is it that so many restaurants nowadays OVERUSE sage? I like sage. I like to burn it. I like to use a little for seasoning. But I have actually had to send food back a couple times as it seems many cooks just don't know when to say when in regards to it. And many times I haven't sent it back and had to choke it down when it tasted like I was licking the hairy end of some unwashed hippie.

I went veg for about 10 years, I immediately lost over 60 lbs and felt great.. But I feel even better eating closer to a paleo diet. I think something about mixing a lot of meat protein, fats and carbs together like the standard american diet says to do really screws your system over.. I had a friend a long time ago who lost a lot of weight merely by seperating his meals out into either fat OR carbs (but not both). So taking out a lot of the fats/animal protein and eating relatively healthy carbs and grains like white rice and then having a lot of healthey fruit and veggies is one way to deal with that issue, but I think optimally taking out the carbs that come from grains and sugar (and eating grass fed/pastured meats, wild seafood, fresh fruit + veggies) is another.

As far as dairy, a lot of people have problems with pasteurized milk and most cheeses, but have you tried raw milk? Most people who have issues with dairy are ok with raw milk, good brands of yogurt (not yoplait) and then you can test out some grass fed or raw milk cheeses if your system can handle those other things. I actually don't buy raw milk regularly, my system handles dairy ok and I don't drink much milk - but I do eat yogurt and cheeses and TONS of grass fed butter.

If you do go vegan, make sure and cook with coconut oil as much as possible, you need good healthy fats and coconut oil is about as good as it gets.

Yuck... after reading your post I cannot get the image out of head. Thank you!

I half expect to see this headline come to light in the near future.
In a four month study, it was found that eating makes kids more aggressive than kids who don't eat.

I think there may really be something to this study. Although they're taking it from the wrong perspective.

A child who eats meat on the bone will be solving a puzzle of inspecting, hunting and pecking from different angles to find the hidden or inaccessible juicy morsels they've got a taste for.

While the child who eats McNuggets will be feeding their mouths in a manner more like a conveyor belt.

Eating meat on the bone is a mind-expanding experience, while consuming McNuggets is mind-dulling. Of course, we already knew that the latter was true.

Boneless white meat chicken sucks balls . I would not feed that to my Grandchildren .

It's great in stir-fries if you know how to do it up right...perfect sliced very thin and marinated in some concoction with lots of fresh ginger.

Never had too much sage, but too much rosemary ain't so hot either, and I love rosemary.

Yeah, that's another one. It would have been nice if you came up with a colorful description of what too much rosemary tastes like though.

I thought about it, but I've been up since 1:30 AM and the brain didn't cooperate. Best I could come up with was something to do with pine trees, and I was left unimpressed by myself. You can thank me for sparing you some unfunny "colorful description."

For my tastes though, I don't think I've ever had ginger or cilantro overload.
