Drudge: SOURCE: ABC TO RELEASE EXCERPT 10 AM... DEVELOPING...

"Really? Open Marriage? That's it? That's what is supposed to derail his campaign? Give me a break."

Of course being a historian Newt knows all about the "Free Love" movement:D

I'm curious what about the interview caused such a kerfluffle at ABC.

There is good news here. Brian Ross said the point of the interview was to inquire into the FBI Investigation. Even though she defended Newt, it brings that story into the spotlight, thus creating doubts......

If you don't think her going in detail about these issues won't affect Newt just as he was about to take off in the polls again, you are sadly mistaken. Older people don't know a lot of the specifics, just that he was a cheating bastard. And the women of my generation was too young to even have known all that. Then there's the bloc, which I would say are the majority of his supporters, who are falling for his "changed, man of faith" claims right now. Marianne coming out with the specific details will be like opening a fresh wound that snaps women out of believing Newt, and if there is anything new in there about corruption the men will follow also.

There is a reason why ABC wanted to delay the interview.

Translation: Ex wife, a woman who has good reason to hate Newt for committing adultery, says he was a honest and respectable politician.

This is going to be an endorsement by his ex... /face_palm

There should be a video clip on ABC any minute now. The video will have much more of an impact than the printed version.

Well, Drudge thinks it's important, he has that cheesy police siren GIF on his front page...

I hope it's something really explosive. I'm watching CNN and they're only talking about "the 2 big breaking stories" of Perry dropping out and Santorum winning Iowa. And how Perry votes will go to Frothy, Gingrich or Mittens. Time to stir things up. There's one more candidate! :)

The most extraordinary thing about all of this, to me, is that he was leading the charge in the Congress to impeach Clinton based on his lack of "moral leadership." In a comments thread in one of the articles pertaining to this subject, I saw somebody who wrote, unintentionally, the perfect anti-Newt soundbite. He wrote, "I don't want another Bill Clinton in the White House."

We need to hammer that sentiment into the opposition. Newt Gingrich will be another Bill Clinton!

Just watched a preview of the interview. It was obvious she is suffering from MS as she was shaking throughout. This is not going to play out well for Newt BECAUSE of the reasons others have posted in this thread. If she just came out guns blazing it might not have had any effect but now the world will see her as a disabled woman who was very hurt by a flawed man whom she still defends.

It was enough to bring Cain down, so I think that is why she thinks it is enough to bring Newt down. Newt could just deny this, however, and portray her as vindictive. This will hurt him, but not likely knock him out of the race yet.

I hope there is more substance then this excerpt. If not then will little to no effect at all.

Holy Shmoly! Does this mean that Gingrich is a closet-polygamist? Wonder what the evangelicals say now...

Palin will keep her distance also. Both Perry and Palin are part of the Evangelical crowd.

According to the Ross interview, there is more. He supposedly said this to her right before speaking at some kind of family values event.

They will give him the same pass on morals that they already gave him for his numerous other infractions. sadly

Maybe. But if they are bigoted against mormons for just this reason, why would they all of a sudden forgive Mr. Polygrinch and give him a pass? Sounds hypocritical to me.
