Exactly. Brian Ross surely would've asked about the corruption issues, the ethics violations, etc. Ross went there. Their just not releasing it (yet).
She defended his tenure in Congress.

In the twilight zone world we live in this will probably help him among the "Evangelical Christian" voting base.
so Newts plan with Rick worked.
Actually, this will impact a big chunk of his voters. It's not fatal, but it will keep the top a muddle, which is good for us.
I don't think this is going to hurt Gingrich too much, because the Evangelical crowd has already condemned him and chosen Santorum. Does the rest of America care? I guess we'll find out...

Dropping out right before a big debate where the possibility exists that your conpetitors pull an 'oops' and give you a chane in primary? You'd think he would soldier on and give his dropout speech Saturday night.
This looks like Newt had some background negotiations with Rick and they came to an agreement on a cabinet position or something similar. Hell, Romney could even have been in the loop as a strong 2nd by Newt keeps Paul off his heels and prevents/delays the Paul v Romney matchup (and debates).
If the crowd at the last debate is any sort of barometer, Jesus himself couldn't win South Carolina.
Newt is going to have to address this in the debate tonight. How he handles this will be more important than the interview itself.
"Really? Open Marriage? That's it? That's what is supposed to derail his campaign? Give me a break."
Of course being a historian Newt knows all about the "Free Love" movement![]()
I'm curious what about the interview caused such a kerfluffle at ABC.
