DRUDGE: Obama's Birth Certificate Composed of Layers??

"I just checked the official web site for Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital and according to the information there, the name of the hospital at the time of his birth should have been Kauikeolani Children's Hospital. According to the web site the name didn't change to Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until Kauikeolani Children's Hospital merged with Kapi‘olani Maternity Home in 1978. So how could his official long form birth certificate that was generated in 1961 have the name of the hospital that wasn't created until 1978?"

Anybody else want to look into this? I gotta go soon.

I'm guessing the internet will get right on it, but I suspect that Obama wasn't born in a children's hospital.

What you are doing is seperating out the different colors of the image of the document. It really says nothing about how the original was produced.

In 1961,,
It would have been typed on a single sheet of paper by the Clerk. And a simple photograph of that paper would not have "layers".

It seems that someone went to a lot of unnecessary trouble to produce this "evidence".

Take a look at this screen shot.... there are 9 links in the file. Meaning there are 9 pieces of 'extra' artwork used or overlayed. The boxes show the art files... notice how they are all very important parts.. like dates and the state registars 'seal' and signature.... also odd that the other signatures are on the background while his mother's is not...

Also not that the AP went and made theirs with a plain blue-grey background.

The original file put out by the white house was a frankenstein job to create this... just saying.

agreed. These are not different layers they are the components that the layer is broken into for optimization (generated by the compression process). As someone who works with illustrator, Photoshop, and PDF files very often over many years this is expected behavior and does not indicate that these individual 'layers' were manually created. This is how the file size is reduced in certain types of documents when they are 'optimized' during the save/export process. PDF format in particular was designed with file size and content security in mind.

Its good to be open minded but please do some research before perpetuating this stuff. Giving the opposition in 2012 reason to consider us loons like in 2008 is the worst thing we can do for the movement.
