Dr. Paul to receive two "pivotal" endorsements tomorrow!

They don't directly get you votes - but they do bring you in from the "unelectable fringe". It gets a lot harder and much more blatantly disingenuous to call someone unelectable when Senators and Governors are endorsing them.

Finishing second in NH should have forever done that.

The following numbers are loose and not doublechecked, someone please correct me if you have the time...

I was looking at some numbers and reports the other day (for a different purpose) and IINM there were about 8000 votes in the 2008 caucus and 130,000 votes in the 2010 caucus. This is a VERY big jump.

One of the reasons for the increased turnout was the 2010 Governors race between 5 candidates. In that race LePage won with ~30% of the vote. IOW he brought out ~40,000 voters to the caucuses

Food for thought...

I asked if the 2010 was a midterm PRIMARY rather than caucus and someone posted that it was. Big difference between a primary and a caucus in terms of number of votes cast.

All the same, I would expect the establishment to go to town on this one.

I understand there is also a beauty contest, non binding PRIMARY on Feb 11 or something. Don't take any of this to the bank because I don't have the links handy, and didn't go to the secretary of state, but I glanced at it for my own curiosity and that is my understanding of it.

I don't mean to be a downer because I would rather get them than for them to go to other people...

But, one thing that has been steady throughout this campaign cycle...ENDORSEMENTS DON'T MATTER!

Whether they come from talk show hosts, state reps, congressmen/women, senators, or even Gov.'s of states....it just doesn't seem to matter. No one seems to really give a hoot.

Just my two cents...

They matter. They offer legitimacy and cause people to take a 2nd look.

Please tell me we have a stream. Somthing tells me this is not going to make it on national tv....just a hunch tho!

Kinda like the SC endorsement? What the hell difference did that make again? big difference among existing supporters, zero difference among targeted voters.

That is true, but it was still awesome for Tom to stick his neck out for us like that, I will definitely be donating to him in the future.

Honestly, I don't think endorsements have mattered for any candidate so far. I think Palin would be the only potential "game changer" because of her following.

But what is good about the endorsements is that we know who to support in the future for the Liberty movement, so they're still worthwhile.
