Dow crashes 600 pts !!!

Jumping/falling 30-80 points every minute.

America needs to bleed much more to pay for the mistakes of previous representatives until we are healthy again.

Holy Crap, S&P 500 is nearly down 8%! I have to say though I was particularly pleased when the house rejected the bill, at least there is still a small amount of hope for this country.

Hey, Guess What?

The good doctor was right! NO BAILOUT... Dollar SOARS!

OIL TANKS!

INFLATION DROPS!

WE WIN! WE WIN! WE WIN!

"see, we told you all hell would break loose if we didn't do this big bailout" in 3...2....1

and now begins the "we need to work on a new bill that addresses the concerns of the American people so we can begin to restore trust in our financial system" talking points. They'll change it a little bit and run it through. The bankers will get their way in the end. They won't let an opportunity to fleece the public pass them by.

And I hope they get hammered! Saying they don't care about the American people they just want a bailout?????? SCREW EM!

since when has the american people cared about them ?..... we just act like we care so we can politically influence them. We deserve the hatred we now have, but must work to correct our mistakes. And dont try and say the world wars because we could have stopped millions of deaths in both of those wars, but waited until we knew it was the most opportune time to go to come out on top economically. Youll be surprised to see how different there account of history regarding the world wars is, we have propaganda in our school books as much as the rest of em'.

I'm semi recovered from this turn-around.

Good on ya!

Keep bludgeoning those politicians.

You guys have sent a message to the world.

Power to ya. Pat yourselves on the back.

Down 750 points at the end. Not bad. I never thought that the bill would be stopped. I guess the write ins worked.

Dow bottoms at 777.7 via google finance.

eerie.

It DID close down 777. That's lucky on a slot machine, no?

As a percentage drop, we've rallied from worse. NOT taking a hit is NOT one of our options. You walk five miles into the woods, you gotta walk at least five miles to get out. I said that once on another board and someone said cleverly, "not if the forest is only six miles wide."

This is not a six-mile-wide forest.

But the sky also did not fall.

The market did not so much crash as ratchet. Tomorrow is the time for the people who are hoarding money to invest optimistically. They should feel reassured by a House of Congress actually implying something resembling prudence. The people who are hoarding money need to quit being such cheapskates. They don't need to wait for rock bottom prices. They are like Midas. Remind them that they don't know how to cook.

Hold the ranch son. Most of the citizens here that can read and comprehend have been trying to break this system for years. We the people for the most part have been used as pawns in their scheme.

Most Americans are not living above their means, they are eating cat food. You got it wrong. The fed gov does not represent 90% of Americans.

Yes okay, i know that you've been trying to break the system, it was just in a reaction that someone had a wish that other markets would tank tomorrow which wasn't that nice. This isn't index against index, country against country, but people against elite. All around the globe. I don't want to pick a fight, because i won't win (minority you know;)) but it makes my blood boil that one or several of our banks will collapse tomorrow, while my stupid government just invested 5 billion euro's in it to save it, and some of you guys are cheering because of that? That ain't cool. The vote is a success, but when the job of your brother is on the line, you might have mixed feelings.
