ZH: Market Massacre: Oil Crashes 30%, Dow Down 1,000, VIX Explodes As Spoos Crater

It is funny because with oil it looks like deflation but I never expected to see deflation so I cannot yet be a believer .

These are just short term gyrations. Over time the price levels will eventually catch up with the amount of money that was printed.

Almost at a 17 percent drop from the high on the dow , at 18 - 20 there should be big buys by bargain seekers is my guess but it is only a guess .

Not sure if this is *the* bottom, but it's not a bad price. Solid oil or oil services companies are insanely oversold.

AAA-rated inflation indexed bond yielding 10%? Yes please.

Dow futures up 500 so I think this is it for now .

Catch that falling knife

Good luck!

The knife bounced off the counter and killed its owner.

But, still, you're right; it might go lock limit down again tomorrow.

The clown in the White House has stemmed the tide somewhat with talk about a tax cut, but the dollar is also dropping.

Already catastrophically large deficits aren't going to help with that and, eventually, somebody is going to read Trumpy Bear the Riot Act.

...i.e. one can't just print money forever, in unlimited quantities, to make everything look okay.

Yeah, at least everyone is hopeful to catch a bounce from whatever Trump is going to promise tomorrow.

Eventually, folks will figure out that price momentum and money printing don't replace production. And eventually that law will have it's way with you.

Yup. The law of supply and demand. And when everyone realizes the supply of dollars is not going to get reduced (as promised) but going to skyrocket, we could get really high price inflation maybe even hyperinflation.

In an inflation environment , what would you be investing in?

Gold, gold stocks, mining stocks, oil, oil stocks (yikes! I hope they survive!), foreign dividend paying stocks are what I'm invested in.

I only buy company stocks that have a good dividend and make real stuff. As opposed to things like banks.

If you listen to Schiff he tells you to get out of the dollar. Wise words.
