Doug Wead: Ron Paul steals the show at Faith Coalition

Who says Wead HASN'T been contacted? Maybe that's what this article is about. MewsMax must have loved running it ;)

If he'd taken compensation from the campaign already he'd have to disclose it. It doesn't mean they aren't talking about it, though, I guess.

If they would/could get Wead on board it would totally put to rest the creditability/viability issue. Is there anything we can do to get this to happen? Who would make this decision? Who is advising RP on this type of thing?

Isn't it obvious he's already on our side? If you've seen For Liberty, he's been talking positively of Ron Paul for years. I personally think endorsements are more valuable later than sooner unless it's endorsements by figures of a specific state which we'll greatly need support for at the time. As Ron Paul's message gathers more and more people, there will be a lot of people who like what he says but aren't sure yet if they want to vote for him. This group will build up throughout the campaign. If we get a bunch of endorsements later on, that will most likely sway the majority of that group to be certain of voting for Ron. Doug Wead knows a lot about politics, maybe he's waiting for the right moment.

When I said on board I was thinking more along the lines of in an "official" campaign capacity.

Yeah. The debate in New Hampshire Monday with Ron's podium near the middle is a big opportunity. It would be nice to have Wead helping drill Ron on specific tag lines to start his answers.... Wead did that for G.H.W. Bush.... I guess Iowa is even more key in that Ron is already popular in NH, but the earlier Wead gets in the more he can do. Mind you, for all we know he may be doing some of it for free now, and may still be picked up officially later.

This war of the minds that is going on unconscious to most cannot be won without those who claim to be conscious through Jesus waking up realizing that the philosophy of liberty IS the light, the way, and the truth.

...
That pretty much means that the authority of government is granted by the people. How can the people grant authority which they do not themselves possess?...

I think the simplest and most powerful way to answer your question is to look at the example provided by India in their fight for independence/liberty from the British. Mahatma Ghandi somehow convinced a nation of millions that they merely needed to withdraw their consent and the British would leave. And it actually happened.

Basically it boils down to free will. You either choose to accept your societal and governmental construct or you don't. A government/society cannot force a man to act against his resolute will.

He is so humble though you'd never know because such a conscious individual would never use the legacy of Jesus for personal gain.

He knows where his real treasure lies. And he also knows how big his God is.

And he lives this: "you will know them by their fruit".

Do all of Jesse Benton's articles contain such disclosures? Not that I remember.

He is typically listed as Ron's campaign spokesman or something, isn't he? But it might only be for your own blog that you have to do it, I don't know.

There is usually an editor's note that says Jesse Benton is Ron Paul's campaign director, but that doesn't prove that it's required by either the publisher or the author because it could just as easily be there as an item of interest for the reader.

I've never heard of any law requiring one to disclose one's employer on one's own blog, even if that employer is a political campaign.

Where's the resident attorney, RachelFaith, when we need her ;)
