In PA, the primary votes for Ron Paul won't get him any delegates. It is just a straw poll or what some called "beauty contest". The results may help him get some media attention, but no delegates. Delegates who win the vote counts for their precinct in the primary is more important. So if you are from PA, please vote for the delegate candidates who you know will represent Ron Paul at the Tampa convention. The best way to find out these candidates is join the local meetup or talk with other local Ron Paul supporters within your precinct to find out who they are and vote for them this primary.
This is correct. But what I'm running into is that I'm in a huge district, encompassing several medium sized "cities" and a huge rural chunk. My understanding is that the campaign "chose" 3 delegates in each district. That's fine, but the order they appear on the ballot is a lottery, so in such a huge area, unless they really get their names out there, if they aren't the top 3 spots, it probably won't fly. That's why in PA the more delegates you have running the better chances you have of getting 3 (my disctrict is) total. I understand from talking with others that people were discouraged to run for delegates by the "chosen" ones.
