I would like to take a moment to express my most sincere desire to
help prevent his re-election by any and all lawful means. *Judge Lewis
has presided over my Family Court case since the year of his
appointment in 2006. *He has presented prejudiced, distorted decisions
and has consistently failed to weigh evidence or render decisions in
a fair and balanced way.
Over the course of the past 5 1/2 years that Judge Lewis has presided
over my Family Court case, I have come into contact with multiple
other single moms of limited financial means who also have Judge Lewis
presiding over their own Family Court cases. *In each of them, as my
own, Judge Lewis has deprived them of their access to balanced justice
without prejudice, ruling in favor of those parents - most often
wealthy fathers - who have dominant financial means, and in favor of
those attorneys with political or personal connections.
Judge Thomas Trent Lewis largely relies not on paperwork that is
submitted to him, but upon his favored side to lead the discussion.
He comes to court and looks to the favored attorney to lead him
through a preordained charade in transcript after transcript. *The
favored attorney is then invited to write the orders after hearing as
that favored attorney sees fit.
Judge Thomas Trent Lewis routinely prejudges cases against the
disfavored side on the record before even having a hearing on the
matter at hand. *He parrots back the same words, arguments, and
baseless accusations used by the favored attorney, to whom he gives
the most uninterrupted discussion time on the record. *He routinely
cuts off the disfavored attorney in mid-argument, simply saying,
"That's enough".
Judge Thomas Trent Lewis is routinely unlawfully punitive toward the
disfavored side whenever they attempt to assert their rights or bring
up valid concerns about the favored side. *He wrongly demands multiple
unnecessary and frivolous paperwork filings, such as the writings of
multiple unnecessary and lengthy briefs, etc. for the sole purpose of
postponing a ruling and bankrupting the disfavored side, usually the
single mom with limited financial means (often in Pro Per). *Most
often, the matter at hand involves either a request by the disfavored
side for fair and necessary child support, or a request by the
disfavored side that the favored side contribute to their attorney's
fees. *Knowing that the disfavored side is clearly in financial need,
Judge Lewis continues to postpone a ruling month after month after
month, while continuing to request unnecessary paperwork filings,
written briefs, etc. His directive in doing this is to cause the
depletion of the disfavored side's financial "war chest", complete
financial ruin, and ultimately force them to give up. *Once he has
achieved that, Judge Lewis then passes down written, scathing
diatribes of unbelievable length (one was 25 pages long), replete with
unsubstantiated accusations and "findings" against the disfavored
party. *Much of the written diatribes are the favored attorney's
baseless arguments verbatim. *Judge Lewis knows that by that time, the
disfavored party is completely bankrupt and will be unable to appeal
his clearly biased, baseless rulings, many of which are made in
writing and on the record without ever even having had a hearing.
Judge Thomas Trent Lewis routinely appoints minor's counsel to a case
whenever the disfavored side petitions for a custodial modification.
He unlawfully has ex parte communications with his chosen court
appointed minor's counsel, admitting to doing so on the record. *He
consistently selects counsel who he knows personally and who will help
to vilify the disfavored side and act in all respects as an additional
attorney for the favored side.
Judge Lewis wrongly and routinely gives thinly veiled suggested
courses of attack to the favored side, such as suggesting that the
favored side bring an allegation of Parental Alienation Syndrome
against the disfavored side, even when PAS has never before been
brought up by either side in that case. *"PAS" is not supported by
empirical data, not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders, has never been recognized by the American
Psychiatric Association, and is not considered valid by most mental
health professionals. *However, Judge Lewis knows that an accusation
of PAS against a mother can afford him the means to strip a good,
loving, protective mother of custody with absolutely no need for
evidence. *Judge Lewis also knows that an accusation of PAS will
strike any single mom of limited financial means with a real and
terrifying fear of losing custody of her child, with absolutely no
recourse against it. *His directive is to rely on unfounded and false
allegations under the guise of protecting the child, when in fact
validating with force of law the preordained position of the favored
attorney with whom he is in collusion. *A common situation has been
shown to be the removal of children from the mother's custody, in
favor of the father, who typically has secured the services of a very
expensive family law attorney, without presentation of sworn evidence,
and in lieu of full evidentiary hearings.
Recently, Judge Lewis recused himself from a case in which he
conspired with the favored attorney to prevent the disbursement of
awarded settlement monies to the mom in the case. *Judge Lewis was
proven to have a financially beneficial relationship with the favored

The pattern of Judge Lewis' behavior is then to censor, and ultimately
to sanction, evidentiary declarations of the party whose case he, as
well as his selected court appointed officials, has been incentivized
to oppose, and to prevent presentation of mitigating and supporting
evidence for the parties whose lives he has been given incentive to
destroy.
Judge Thomas Trent Lewis does not represent the just and lawful
interests of ALL the people of Los Angeles County. *His actions render
him unfit for office.
I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read through
my post. *I humbly request any advice you can give me on what I can
do to prevent Judge Lewis from being re-elected on behalf of myself
and of all the other people whose lives have been adversely and
irreparably harmed by his actions as Superior Court Judge.
