“This agreement is a good agreement for the American people, and takes the threat of a government shutdown off the table,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday night in a statement. “The bill ensures taxpayer dollars aren’t used to fund an ineffective border wall, excludes poison pill riders, and increases investments in programs that the middle-class relies on, like medical research, education, and infrastructure.”
Schumer’s spending proposal includes funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which is a propaganda arm of our Washington Swamp Creatures, and it increases funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and Humanities, two more propaganda arms of the Washington Establishment ___ both of which Trump promised to defund.
The bill continues to fund Planned Parenthood and will fund the federal Department of Education to the tune of $71.6 billion. Where in our Constitution has Congress been granted a power to tax for, spend on and regulate public school systems created under State Constitution? The Bill will also double the number of H-2B visas which are used to replace American workers, while it forbids one dime to be spent to build a needed wall to help stop illegal immigration, human and drug trafficking. In addition, the bill will not cut off new money to sanctuary cities as Trump promised.
There is also a reported $295 million for Puerto Rico’s Medicaid program, and less than half of the money requested to fund our border security.
