Donald Trump says he plans for a big 12% jump in military spending, he has threatened war with Iran, and has escalated the war with the Houthis. None of this has anything to do with defending the United States.

A blockade on our ships is an act of war. They shot down our unmanned air planes and attacked our ships.

Trump didn't escalate the war, the war never ended we never signed a peace agreement. They never conceded to any of our demands that they stop attacking our ships indefinitely. Our demands are absolute.

According to our Constitution, the war never started. Unless I missed when Congress declared war on Yemen.

Under our constitution authority for war is an implied authority of the executive and its a congressional authority to order the president to fight a war.

We define war under the classic definition of war.

War is nothing but a duel on a larger scale a contest between people, each using force ‘to compel our enemy to do our will.'

So a state of war exists when people go to war against us.

A duel exists if someone is dueling you. Whether you fight back with your pistols is your choice you still lose the duel if they kill you and you don't fight back.

-but simply the law does not compel the president not to fight back.

What did you think of Biden when he was president?

I'm only asking because of his Tariffs, mRNA, Spending, War.

Granted Biden wasn't as "efficient", Trump has the Technocrats helping him out.

Biden honored the peace agreement we made with Afghanistan and kept us out of the Ukraine war.

If Bill Clinton had been president in 2014 or 2022 I'm pretty certain he would have intervened. That war certainly goes against his "Clinton doctrine" foreign policy.

Biden defined his foreign policy during the Clinton era as neo-isolationism and that's why he didn't get elected in the 90s.

It used to be for 60 years or so from the early days of World War 2, they could call someone an isolationist and then they would never get elected.

That changed after the war on terrorism though. There would have never been a president Biden if it weren't for the war on terrorism.

There would have never been a President Biden if the Democrats went with a Clinton/Obama ticket back in 08.

Yeah because that ticket would have lost.

You would have probably seen a big populist movement on the left in 2012 instead of the teaparty.

John McCain would have gone to war with Iran and the democrats would have been the anti war/ populist party in 2012.

The Democrats would have probably lost in 2012 as well because in 2012 you could still call someone an isolationist and they wouldn't get elected.

So perhaps in 2016 Clinton could have maybe ran again for president and the Democrat party would have given them the nomination and Trump would have came in and won anyways as an outsider.

By 2020 the democrat party would have realized that they have to run someone that old democrats will vote for and they would have maybe nominated a Senator Joe Biden or they would have lost.

When they tried to pull Biden off the ticket in 2024- they lost.
